Bought this after picking up an 8 1/4 x 5 7/8 one a while ago. I recently got back into fountain pens and was using just a cheap little memo pad to test new inks I'd bought and couldn't understand why they didn't look like the reviews. Realized it was the cheap absorbent paper and switched to Strathmore sketch pad, very white and hard surface, color accuracy definitely better than the memo but still losing some fidelity as paper still absorbing the ink. BnR Optik paper is coated so ink dries on the surface so all the features of the ink - shading, sheen - stay there, instead of disappearing into the paper. Paper is thick, too, which means virtually no show-through or bleeding so you can use both sides. These small pads are good for quickly testing new colors of inks and for jotting a few words down every other day or so with pens that are inked up but not used regularly, to keep the ink in the feeds flowing; most inks will dry out (some faster than others) if the pens aren't used often enough. In addition, the covers are thick, sturdy polyvinyl, not cardboard, and there's an elastic band to keep the cover closed, or you can use it as a bookmark or to hold the book open at a certain page. Other than that, can't see much general use for them - too expensive for minor, memo-type stuff like jotting down a phone number or appointment reminder or a shopping list.
Great for all note-taking and measurement storage.
Plenty of lined pages...spiral to side allows notebook to lay flat when entering info and can be folded over, not using much space.
I have used these products for years. I did not find the size easily on the website.
It's just a spiral tablet but the cover is a flexible yet durable plastic and it has the band closure, which I like. The paper seems good quality. Other than that, nothing special about the inside. It won't get the tattered worn look even after you have used it for months, which is also what I wanted.

I like the quality of the paper. Its a good notebook. I used it for meetings and for personal notes. I like how it fits nicely in my leather binder. I will get me another one after this one is used up. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I was giving this notebook to review and the first thing I noticed when it arrived was how sleek it looked. The Black n' Red one I have looks and feels excellent. I thought the spiral notebook style would get in the way and be clumsy but it actually worked great! The spiral could have been a bit bigger as the nice pen I was using with it does not fit into the spiral.. However the paper looks excellent, gives a good amount of space to take notes, and the added feature of making digital copies with SCRIBZEE is fantastic. The only downside is that you have to download and use the SCRIBZEE app so if you're cramped for space on your phone or plan to use another brand of journal there are other pdf apps that might work better for you to use even with this journal. I used it to take notes for a lesson I was teaching and it worked really well for this. It looks good and works good. I'd definitely recommend this brand. I was very disappointed with your notebooks. It is not the quality I expected -- and also, for two notebooks, it was nearly $40.
mediocre at best for the price
