Used to color coat my wheels to give me an idea as to what they would look like black and was very happy with the outcome

We have a 2011 Toyota Highlander and the coating was flaking on the center caps, so we decided to try this stuff, there weren’t many reviews on it, but they were good so we decided to try it, my husband did the inside and out and they look amazing! He went above and beyond what most people do, he put the whole vehicle on jack stands, took all the wheels off, degreased them inside and out, put them on a piece of plactic in the garage and painted five coats on the inside, then 5 coats on the outside, paint went on super simple, I highly recommend lighter coats for a more even coverage and letting them dry as long as possible before putting them back on. The thicker it is on the tire the easier it is to peel it off. We just did this yesterday, I will post a review at a later date after we see how it’s holding up!

it worked well ..after the learning curve. I had to redo the first wheel I painted..it peeled after 2 days, I assume I didn't clean it well enough. Several lights coats seems to be the way to go .

Horrible coverage took 6 coats to make it black

This is not up to Rustoleum product standards. I was coating the bottom of my car doors about 10 inches up. I shook the product vigorously the entire time I used it. I bought 2 cans and used 1 on each side. My car is copper colored and after 6 heavy coats I could still see the copper color. In frustration I bought black PLASTI-DIP and in 2 coats it was finally covered. Do not pay good money for a product that plain old does not work.

I purchased the gloss black, the coverage was horrible, it came out more almost clear with no black. Unreal!
