Black Sails
this show gives a good view of pirate life both aboard ship and in port. the politics, the alliances and the unfortunate ends these people endure give a flavor of authenticity. an enjoyable spectacle to watch.

badass pirates
this is the best pirate show that i ever seen, great actors, cool looking ships, i wonder if this really was going on back to the 1700, i'm waiting for season 3 to come out.

beware
Do the research first before buying... all or most of the explicit scenes can be described on the website Internet Movie Database parents guide ( which this website review would not let me put in the website address). I bought the seasons 1 2 and 3 during a sale... watched the first show of first season and took back 2 and 3. Will throw #1 away.... If they are going to sell movies that show too much "action", they should say on the package... It did say Not Rated for the rating .....I was disappointed that Walmart would sell this without a warning to the consumers...
