This is the best heater for a bedroom i have purchased yet! This style Heater is very easy to use and is quick to heat up a decent size area like a master bedroom or and bedroom. It is exactly what i was looking for and i have purchase quite a few different styles in the past for different prices but this had been the best one! I have already recommended this heater to family members looking for the same type of heater…it's a great brand as well for a great price. I have spent more money on heaters that claim to be better quality and better at heating and they didn't come close to this heater

Heater exceeded my expectations!

Rae April 16, 2026

Heater has different heat levels, that automatically turn off when reached. Of tips over it shuts off. Circulation for small size is excellent. When buying online you often don't know the item's quality, this heater exceeded my expectations %26 kept us warm!

I've owned 7 of these style heaters, never let me down till they expire, luckily I bought these 2 because my inducer fan($750) went out on my furnace

perfect for small spaces

erica11775 May 11, 2026

perfect for small spaces, I put it in a small bathroom that is cold on cooler days and hot on warmer days because of no airflow and it works so much better that having to have both a heater and fan

Great for smaller spaces. It throws off good heat, which can be adjusted for both temperature and intensity. It isn't as quiet as some people may want, but it isn't too loud and easily becomes background noise. Mine is on a low table, so the heat blower is away from pets and small children.

B%26D Quartz Heater that Hums

Thom January 27, 2025

The delivery was received with no physical damage to the shipping box, The product box was securely packed with air pillows. The heater when removed from box appeared undamaged. It is quite light in weight and can easily be moved with little or no effort. NOTE; I have owned several quartz heaters in the past. The operating instructions are very simple; plug in to electrical outlet directly; DO NOT use extension cords or surge protector bars is clearly stated in the instructions. When initially turned on the quartz strips put off a faint smell of burning, which is normal, and went away within minutes. The two control dials are clear and easy to use. Both give good setting controls for heat. The auto-shutoff feature works well. I used the heater the first evening after it arrived. The living room is 19'x15' (285 sq. ft.), sparsely furnished, with a lot of open space. I set the heater at the highest temperature and the HIGH power setting for the quartz strips. Sitting approximately 16 feet from the heater I could feel the heat generating from the heater. Even using the LOW power setting I could still feel the heat. I experimented with the thermostat and it functioned properly cycling the heater off and on acceptably. Now, here's the only gripe I have: the 'FAN'! Functionality, it works great. However, it is unbelievably noisy. It's not a soft, but loud humming or burrrrrr sound, it's worse than the normal sounds of kitchen or bathroom exhaust fans. Worse yet ... it can't be turned off!. I typically listen to my TV, with a soundbar, at a sound level 14, with the heater on I have to bump the sound level up to 22. This is totally unacceptable. B%26D need to do some modification with an override to be able adjust or turn off the fan. Because of the high noise factor coming from the fan I will probably return the heater to Walmart. PHOTOS left to right; heater off, heater controls, heater in low setting, heater in high setting

Smaller than you think but big heat

Anonymous December 20, 2023

I wanted to return but they heat like crazy. Cord gets soft like big ones. I'm no electrician but we leave unplugged if unwatched. I would say don't let the size fool you but Walmart let the cost fool us. Said we saved $100 on 2 black friday. Next week the retail was $50 cheaper... Hot, quiet, not bright, and compact. Think they could use stronger cord just like the big boys.

Good value

anonymous February 11, 2026

I'm very pleased with this heater as it gives off a lot of heat. I was able to keep it running for 7 hours without any issues when I had no heat in my home and it was a lifesaver. Inside temps were 48 to 50 degrees. I used it in a 16x12 foot room and I wouldn't say the room was toasty but it definitely took the chill out of the room. When on max temperature you wouldn't be able to sit too close as it gets very hot. My only complaints are with the knobs. Given the location of the knobs, you have to pretty much hold the unit to make any temperature or fan changes. I wish they were digital or even flat across the top. And the instructions were a little unclear regarding the fan and how to maintain a certain temperature. I wish you could just set a numeric temperature and it would go on and off to maintain that temperature. All it has is a dial that goes from low to max and then another with fans speeds. The oscillating feature is nice though on that same dial. Overall, I consider this heater a good value for the price I paid (roughly $42).

Heater sucks!

Cindel March 18, 2026

The settings and controls are a bit confusing until you actually read the user guide. The heater is smaller than I expected even with the measurements and the images shown, it still seems a lot smaller than I anticipated. If you are trying to heat up a small space such as an office, this would be great. I needed a heater to heat up a medium sized area and it does not seem to keep it warm unless I run the heater on HIGH continuously. Also, it's not very quiet either. I wish I would have bought a different heater for the same price.

Disappointed, noisy

Debra January 4, 2026

Rattles when the fan runs, terribly. Have given some selective percussive adjustment when running, the rattle will stop for a bit. Noise level is not good. It heats, but. Can't sleep with it. The heat is quartz infrared which is what I wanted but. Disappointed with the noise. Also the front grill pops out in the upper left corner. With the brand name of Black and Decker, I expected better quality for the price. Instead, Lasko makes a better product. I don't recommend the unit.
