I'm handicapped so the size being less than a full size pot helps me handle it much better. It weighs less than a full size pot with hot water in it, making it safer for me to lift and pour. It's on a pedestal so no cord to hinder things when filling or pouring. Very satisfied.

I bought this to make hummingbird feeder sugar water. It just takes a couple minutes to reach temperature and the stove would take 10 times as long and use more energy.

This is a basic electric kettle with no fancy features. It works, heats up quickly, and holds a decent amount of water (they typically can't be filled to the max so the size can be deceiving). Versus my previous electric kettle, this one does not have a lighted switch which was convenient to quickly check if the kettle was on or finished. Also, the cover is diffiult to open with wet hands because the handle is very slick. An easy improvement would be a slightly textured handle. It works. Nothing fancy.

I really love this pot, the water heats up super fast much faster than the microwave. The pot sits on a heating base and plugs into the wall. When the pot is empty it just sits on the base, no storage necessary. Great buy and great gift for your favorite tea, hot chocolate or instant coffee drinker. It has many more useful recipes on the insert that comes with it.

The quality is so good! I like the stainless one. The only thing that one convenient is the opening method of its cap. But I still recommend this product.

This kettle has two major inconvenient features. 1. There is no way to tell the kettle is on, and dangerously hot to touch, unless it is making sounds, which it does for only part of the water-boiling process. No light, even in the on/off lever, which other brands of electric kettles we own have, or other indication. It's a major burn danger. 2. The kettle cover is a completely separate until, not attached to the kettle nor opened with a release button. And it requires holding on to the kettle handle in order to remove it, another burn danger if one wants to check the amount of water in the kettle while it's heating. We hope Black %26 Decker will redesign this large kettle -- bought for its capacity.

it's satisfactory for a basic electric kettle but seems to be a bit slow in boiling water, and body is lighter material than my previous B & D kettle, which had viewing ports to show water level and indicate kettle was energized. That kettle developed a leak in one of the ports after two years of use - likely because of frequent daily use (at least four times daily) with metal expansion and contraction. My wife and I opted for a replacement with a solid body. We are satisfied with this kettle as such.

Bought this as we like a good size kettle, which it is. I should have researched it more as I'm really disappointed in the lid, which is just a big plastic plug you have to entirely remove the lid instead of just pressing a button to flip it up to fill it. It's inconvenient, and a bit gross as it has to be placed on the counter. Not a good design.

The pictures don't all show the product. Firstly, it's not clear that the lid unscrews rather than lifts with a button. Secondly, there are no markings on the outside for water.

Plastic taste even after washing it multiple times and following the instructions in the manual. The box in the store was misleading as it makes the stainless steel material stand out and claims its stainless steel kettle, but INSIDE of the kettle is red plastic for the cup size indicator. 👎
