Great B&D Toaster - Best Slot Design in the Market
Not all toasters are created equal, and the toaster industry has been in coast mode for decades. This B&D toaster is no frills, with a great slot design. I looked at every toaster on the market and picked this one because it actually has slots long enough to toast modern bread slices - you know, the slices that are longer than the wonder bread slices of the 70’s that every other toaster slot design is still based on. So no more bending your multigrain slice to jam it in, or pry it out with a fork after. Also the slots have self adjusting widths to accommodate thicker slices or English muffins or bagels. It does toast on the hot side, meaning the setting is running down in the 2.5 to 3.0 range for most jobs. But it does toast very evenly on both sides! Well done B&D, this is an outstanding design at fraction of the price of other nonfunctional toasters. Highly recommend.

Easy to maintain toaster at a fair price
Nice toaster - simple to operate. Though I checked prices, was a bit better price elsewhere but still am happy with my choice.

Toaster doesn't toast bread well
The toaster is overall a good by. One problem it has is that one side of toast is toasted properly while the the other side is just barely toasted.

Not what I expected. Thought this toaster would be stronger(more durable). The lift when toast is ready is weak and slots are not wide enough for bagels. This toaster is for toast only.

cheaply made
attractive but cheaply made .the outer part of the toaster is very hot to the touch and would burn a child. very small interior

Dangerously hot
This toaster is very, very hot on the outsides. I burned my fingertips the first, and last, time I tried it. Very dangerous for small children.
