BLACK+DECKER 8,000-BTU 4-Speed Electronic Window Air Conditioner with Remote, BD08WT6

The unit appears very powerful and cools a large room fast. The only downside was it arrived in a battered box with the protective foam all shattered in pieces. The front cover on one side doesn't fit as tight as the other side, but hopefully it won't be a problem. I was originally going to return it, but decided on keeping it being it worked so well.

It arrived in perfect condition, what needed assembly was easy to do, for me it was heavy but for the delivery man it was not lol. 💪 I've never put in an A/C unit before however I did it by myself because in South Ga when your AC goes out, you have to have a backup...I have an old house w/10' ceiling, large rooms and this unit cooled the living room, the dining room and even went down the hallway to other rooms. With the outside unit those areas have NEVER been as cool as this unit made them, I should have bought this yrs ago. VERY PLEASED with my purchase 😊

The air conditioner works excellent so far pulls off my apartment from my kitchen to my living room. My friend was able to put it in with her son. No problem. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I have a large living room and it cools it off quickly,and also stays very cold in the room. Excellent air conditioner I would recommend it very highly.

The operation is quite quiet and the amount of cold air the unit produces is more than enough to cool down a very large bedroom. My whole house AC went out so I purchased the window unit so I could sleep at night during the summer heat. The unit handled the hot 105 deg days with very little problem. You could turn the temperature down to 72 degrees. and the unit kept the room at 72. The controls easy to operate with remote. No complaints.

unit arrived with no damage to shipping box. however there was minor damage to the coil fins this is probably a packing problem. the performance doesn't appear to be impacted

1. The control panel almost needs a jewelers Loup to read it. 2. The instruction manual also needs a jewelers loup to view the picture of the control panel on page 15 lower left side. The whole page 15 is really not very useful. 3. The symbols on the remote control are also very small and the user manual is needed to interpret the meaning of the symbols. I dont even use the remote control. It doesn't correspond to the little control panel on the AC. 4. The good part is it runs good and it is quiet, after you figure out the control seqences.

i purchased this A /C because it was shown to have a front that pulled down to clean the filter. this was my reason for buying! i received an A/C with a side pull out filter which i detest!! you cant keep them clean and they don't last. wont purchase a black and decker again.False advertising!

It doesn't fit a window correctly. You have to put major insulation on the inside and the outside on the side panels as well as up underneath the unit on the inside.

When it was delivered to me it was delivered upside down.The unit does not blow any air or any type of cooling would like my refund or would like to have it re sent me another one.I've been almost four hundred dollars for this air conditioning unit I need it should be replaced too much.Honey spent for it not to work and waited almost four days for it to arrive
