BLACK+DECKER BEHT200 18" CORDED HEDGE TRIMMER

If you have never used a rechargeable and only know electric you will be disappointed. But if you understand the limitation then you will be delighted. I realize I can't cut forever and not trying to cut down thick branches though it surprised me that it did a pretty neat job on stronger yew branches. For me, the convenience is unbeatable and I have 2 one for me and one for hubby.

I used AI to list all my criteria for a hedge trimmer. They recommended this one and they nailed it. It's very light and super easy for anyone to use. Most lighter trimmers only have a stubby T handle at the front, which is difficult to hold for extended periods, and impossible to hold for trimming the side of the hedge. This one has a very comfortable circular front handle that allows you to trim at any angle. For the lightness benefit, if I need to stretch to reach the back, I can use it with just one hand. All battery trimmers, and most corded are too heavy for most to do this. For negatives, I did find I needed to hold it for a while for it to cut through a few very thick branches. A small price to pay as it cut through everything else like butter.

Compact and easy to handle with sufficient power!

Great price, arrived ahead of time 👌

It does the job. Entry level version. I wanted a cord so I don't have to mess with gas. Did a good job.

Received my package 2 dsys earlier then originally quoted. Very pleased with the quick delivery time.

Easy to handle, minimal vibration, lite weight and low price makes it a great trimmer. Had Black and Decker trimmers previously and always worked well. As a matter of fact, my last one was so old the case was metal. I'd most like would have still had it if I had not lent it out and got it back broken.

Like most trimmers, there is no easy way to keep the blades sharp. That's why it's only 4 stars. Other than that, it worked on our Eugenias just great and is not too heavy!

Beware: Cord securing mechanism will not accept a 12 AWG extension cord or lower, making it difficult to keep connected.
