BLACK+DECKER Electric 2-In-1 String Trimmer / Edger & Trencher, LE760FF

I'm giving a review before I have used it because Walmart is offering $ to do so. Fast shipping. Easily put together. Wanted an electric or battery opposed and this was a good price. Many people already gave high reviews. It seems to be durable and easy to handle. I look forward to using it.

Plenty of power to trim my driveway, and, along the street. So much easier to do these particular jobs with this rather than my wireless weed wacker. Since I am not running all over the yard with it having a cord is not a bother. Good tool for the money and easily gets the job done. The wheel and guide work well to follow along the edge of the pavement and concrete.

"Of course no one would expect commercial use quality at this price. Mostly plastic outer construction including the wheels. For the money this is a very good relatively inexpensive tool that easily does the job it was designed to do. The retractable edger guide is a nice feature and saves the blade from hitting the edge of the sidewalk or driveway concrete while edging. The plastic rather than rubber wheels do make the edger look a bit cheap, but the worked well for me and I am happy with this ""Gentleman's"" tool. It certainly is plenty good to trim the edges a couple times per month at home."

Purchased this for my husband because I didn't like the way he edged with the weed eater and it threw rocks at our cars in the driveway. This edger does a great job and there are no more rocks flying at our cars, he said he is able to edge in half the time and every other week instead of once a week. I also liked the extra blade included.

Seems to work well enough, i didn't personally use it, the boyfriend did. I also bought extra blades for " just in case". never know when your gonna try to edge something just a little to close. and since the user has never used one before, better have on hand.

I took one star off because I thought it was defective because the cord inside the handle seemed too long and I couldn't get the handle put together. Someone told me they did it, so I kept at it and was finally able to get the handle put together. After that, I'm very happy with it and use it all the time.

Overall, not bad, but has a couple of disappointments. First the handle is too low and can't be adjusted, so you have to lean down while doing the edge. Second, it keeps accumulating mud and dirt in the blade housing area and finally will get stuck until cleaned.

The images portrayed on the Walmart site are conflicting ... One shows the Edger with a D-Shaped auxiliary handle and the other shows no handle, ... just a 'Knob' that appears to be called a 'handle'. The handle is very important for control of the equipment when in use. --- --- I received my order today (1 Jul 2023) and assembled it only to find that this D-Shaped Handle wasn't included with the edger. Additionally, when I rotate the body of the edger, something is rattling around inside the motor housing. I don't know if its a broken part of the motor, a loose screw floating around, or a broken piece of plastic rattling around inside. There is obviously a rotating fan in the motor, which I assume is plastic, and if this loose part or piece were to wedge itself in the fan when the motor is activated, chances are it will burn up the motor. For that reason, I am not even able to check the motor to see if it even runs. Extremely disappointed with this product and will have no choice but to return it.

The product does not match the images shown on the website. This particular edger has something loose rattling around in the motor housing and will have to be returned. I have owned several of these edgers over the years and am thoroughly disappointed in this purchase.
