My husband purchased my first "Gator " for a gift twelve years ago. Loved it! When it gave up after many years of use at home and cabin, I immediately replaced it. This is my go to garden and tree trimmer! My cousin refers to it as my "Ladies Saw". The ease of use when trimming trees makes this a great saw for all adults.
l had one precious before this order and that is why l ordered it again. The first one broke so l needed new. The price was better this time than the first time!
This is the second Alligator Lopper that I have purchased, not because the first one broke or is of no use, wanted another one for my grandsons so that they could help me with limbs and small trees. They are safe for them to use (both hands have to be on handles before they will turn on), very tough machines, built to last ( as the first one is 10 years old), price is very fair, can depend on these tough little machines to do the job first time and the next time as well. Really would not consider buying anything but the Lopper. Black & Decker got this one spot on right. Believe me, probably will think about even getting another one if my wife wants to have one of her own. I truly do not believe these can be beat for just about anything they are designed to do. But do keep the oil to them.
I've had my Lopper for 25 years worn out 2 Chainz always done the job I asked of it completely would recommend this for any small cutting job around the yard period I'll also used it to cut bushes such as Holly and ferns
It's easy to use on little tree's and medium trees limbs and a lady can use it without it being to heavy just open them up put around the tree and start cutting it love it
I bought this Alligator Looper for my friend as he and his friends kepto boring mine . I bought my Alligator Looper 27 years ago and it's still on the go.
Good product
I used this product yesterday for the first time. It was the best tool I have ever used. I am a tiny women and was afraid to use the normal style chain saw or deal with gasoline. This product is excellent for the electric cord and I felt comfortable using it, not too heavy, small enough for me to handle and did a fantastic cutting job. I can't believe the size of tree I could cut down and so quickly. Thank you to who ever invented it. Tink511 4/18/2008
Used once on Pine trees, did a good job, be sure to keep chain 90 degrees to cut or will bind or roll chain off. Oiling system needs to be redesigned to some type of oiling reservoir system instead of a oil bottle which is a nuisance to use and keep up with during use. Still better than manual loppers and the wife can use the Alligator!
Works great, safe and reliable. Had identical pair like this before till my husband "killed" it, lol (hard on tools) ... for some reason, the chain on this one is popping off more often than I ever had with my previous pair. It's a pain having to stop, take apart and reattach. But glad to have the protective shield to prevent injury.
