I've been using it for small trees and limbs and it's so much easier than my old Craftsman gas powered saw. Low noise and a less aggressive chain making for far less bucking and kickback. I'd recommend it as an alternative to a small gas saw unless you've got more than a few trees or big limbs that you can't wait for a recharge to get to. It seems ideal for most homeowners in need of a chainsaw for occasional minor use as it's easy to use, isn't loud, and isn't fussy about fuel and oil. Works great. I'd buy it again.

My wife was looking for an easier way to trim trees around the farm yard. The reciprocating saw had too much vibration. The chain saw with gas motor was too hard to start. The hand saw was just too difficult. The V20 Craftsman has proven to be the best answer she has found by far. It's also great for me doing fencing & corral repairs. Big enough to do the job & small enough to be so handy. The 4 AH battery is amazing and the User Manual is the best I've seen in a long time. Yes I highly recommend it.

This V20 Cordless compact 12in saw kit is durable and cuts great nicly high powered and cuts in secs havent had any issues with mine. Ive used mine for many projects and it still holds up awesome.

I've used this saw maybe 5 times - I've had it for about a year. It works great, battery lasts longer than I expected. However, when you set this saw in its place to store between uses, bar oil leaks out. Badly. All of the oil leaks out. It's not even an oil cap issue, I've stored it sideways with the cap straight up in the air. Still leaks all of the bar oil out. I have oil all over my garage because of this. I wish i could find a fix for it somewhere, but I can't find any videos about it. Wish it didn't leak the oil.

I have almost the entire v20 tool set. I got this as a gift from my daughter.. I used for about an hour and then it stopped I tried different batteries and still wont come back on. 2a, 4a, 6a, and 9a. Been happy with other tools in this family but seems to be and issue with this model.
