it was easy to season and used it 10 times in 6 days 6 breakfast and 4 times for dinner also I absolutely live it
Bought for the RV and for camping and it’s a great fit! Perfect size for 2-4 people, with a side extra (depending on what you’re making). If you buy the propane hose to connect to the RV search specially for the blackstone. It does have a different fitting than Coleman and others. We love it! Bought a case on amazon and 100% suggest it!
This a 17inc flat top is amazing we are camping and traveling. The only thing is this black needs hardware for the lid to stay in place it's a bit of a hassle to be carrying around the lid and flat top separately do to the lid not being attached
got this blackstone today and have used it once so far absolutely love it!! good taste amazing and cooks fantastic on this blackstone! very spacious for only being 17in. sure can fit a lot! absolutley recommend
The carrying case and lid seem well built. The small size fit perfect in my RV (22" probably wouldn't have fit in my space). The griddle seems well built as well. I've only cooked a few simple meals (burgers, hotdogs, etc) and found that I never really moved from the low setting. Can easily put 4 to 6 burgers in the center over the burners, while cooking the hotdogs off to the side (cooler temps). In hind site I would've preferred the larger 22" with two burners for the heat different zones to cook on, but this 17" performed well with the single burner and just cooking for 2 to 4 people and the larger size wouldn't have fit in my RV anyway. This unit met all my expectations and I'm very happy with my purchase.
While the grill works perfectly fine, the top is a pain to deal with as it isn't attached. There is a version that I subsequently purchased that is better, where the top is attached so you can lift it up and down and it stays attached. One other irritating thing is that it doesn't offer the ability to connect to a standard propane outlet. Instead, you have to purchase separate LP tanks, which though convenient in some ways, mean one more thing you have to bring with you (and they have to be shielded from excess heat while traveling and shouldn't be inside the vehicle with you, which means more challenges). One benefit of these is that you can take the entire unit and put it away from your standard LP tanks if you have an RV, allowing it to go on a picnic table or some other area further away. The unit functions quite nicely, however, and is in the Blackstone ecosystem, so it offers many options for accessories.
Heats up fast. The hood for a 17” is impossible to find and order with a Omni version. Stuck with the cover.
Cheap rivet on the front was originally missing but found inside the styrofoam packaging cutout. Had to thread it with a screw. Luckily, we had one that worked. Front was not aligned so burners would not light. Also, one igniter very visible bent.
Thought was electric and even you have it listed thanking us for electric grill purchase. Got it and was gas so sent it back and took a long time for our refund. Not a fan of the order to buy that Walmart is doing trying to be like Amazon I guess. Miss the go buy and take home way! Seems like everything we look at is not available for pickup, have to order it. NOT A FAN OF THIS WAY!!!
I never received my Blackstone and Walmart refuses to give me a refund because it was such a high priced item so yet I ordered it never received it and they won't give me a new one or give me a refund..
