This is a very nice tabletop griddle that is a great size if you don't have the space for a larger, stand-alone griddle. It's small enough to take along on road trips, and surprisingly the cooking surface can hold a good amount of food, allowing you to cook multiple things at one time.
i don't know how i lived without this little grill before i started using it. i have made burgers hot dogs ribs pancakes onions grilled cheese and quesadillas on it so far with many more ideas to come! i also love that the top is removable for easy cleaning!
Extremely pleased with the griddle. I've used the typical two burner camp stoves and this can do everything the camp stoves can and also way more. Made some tacos while camping and this was so perfect for it. Easy to clean but make sure you follow the seasoning of the cast iron before use. Take care and wipe it down with some oil after use. The griddle gets amazingly hot very quickly. Was able to cook beef for tacos for dinner and then bacon and eggs the next morning. Perfect for camping.
1) When assembling, screw in the four rubber feet to the griddle first. This will make things a lot easier to assemble the rest which was very easy and quick. No screws or tools involved. 2) Be sure to season your griddle before cooking anything to preserve the griddle for a long time. Season it four to five times - it will take about 45 minutes to an hour. DO NOT USE animal fat as this could cause your griddle to flake and peel and shorten the life of your griddle. I used the Blackstone Griddle and Cast Iron seasoning. 3) Despite my seasoning this griddle on high five times, it didn't seem to get hot enough to season the entire griddle; just the middle part got really hot. I don't think the burners underneath are adequate enough to really get to all the surface, but maybe I'll wait to try to use it in the summer and see it gets heated more evenly. All the prep aside, my Wagyu hamburgers turned out delicious. I've been waiting for an outdoors griddle to take camping for a long time and I am so happy that I finally got the Blackstone. It cooked the hamburger evenly in its own fat and it makes a difference in taste. The hamburger tasted like old fashioned hamburgers from the local diner. I'm in love with the Blackstone Griddle!
This 17” griddle is amazing felt like diner style food was being made during thanksgiving week delicious!! We used it often even for breakfast so easy to use comes with directions even comes with online recipes! It's so spacious and so fun to make meals for the kids with it they really enjoyed it! Clean up is super easy as well like you would a cast iron, there is directions for that too. This griddle from Blackstone is very well made super durable and great for the holidays or weekend grilling!
The griddle was very easy to assemble. Be sure to place the griddle front to back. It's not that heavy but it is definitely sturdy. We bought a set of propane tanks from Lowes. It connected easily to the griddle. We used BaconUp to spread on top of the griddle. You can see the blue flames in between the griddle plate and the bottom portion. It cooked our food perfect. This can be easily transported in your vehicle or camper/RV.
Had wanted a Blackstone for a couple years, but didn't want to take the plunge and buy a huge one not knowing if it's something I would use often. Plus, we wanted something we could use at home and for camping trips. Picked up the 17” Blackstone Adventure Ready and love it! Easy to season and clean and it's lightweight enough to take wherever we go.
This Blackstone grill is very well made and a great value. I am using it at home with a connection kit for a standard 20 pound propane bottle and when camping with a quick connection hose kit I got for connecting it to my Thor Vegas motorhome. I opted for the single burner 17 inch model for ease in storage on the motorhome. I find it has plenty of cooking surface and I have cooked meals for four people on it. It heats up very quickly. If you season it well to start with and do so on an ongoing basis it should last a very long time. So far I have cooked blackened salmon and blackened shrimp, corn on the cob, quesadillas, smash burgers, and a breakfast consisting of sausage, pancakes, and eggs. Cleanup is easy. I may eventually get a 2-3 burner model for home use. I got Blackstone's carry bag directly from them, a kit with spatualas, a scraper, and bottle for oil, sauces, or water, and a melting/basting dome all of which I recommend. Now I am eyeing a Blackstone breakfast kit that I see Walmart has for about $20.
This blackstone 17' griddle is a staple in my kitchen now. We use it because it's convenient and easy to do dinners in less than 30 minutes. Set up initially for this griddle didn't take long and we were able to use same day. I love making dinners on here but especially breakfast. Works like a charm.
The grill is pretty heavy for myself but my husband carries it easily and he's 65 we use it for almost everything and bring it camping in the summer I make pancakes often and the grill cooks them very even the heavy top grill seems to maintain a even cooking temperature no matter where I pour the batter the pancakes brown evenly. The grill angles back so when cooking burgers the fat drains out the back into a drip pan I can cook almost anything that I use a skillet for when I cook in the house this is by far my favorite grill ever and would highly recommend it even cleans up fairly easily.
