How did we go so long without a Blackstone grill?! It is so easy and versatile to cook on. Upkeep is a lot so be prepared to season it before you use it following the directions. Also you must clean and season it after cooking. But with some squirt bottles of water and vegetable oil it’s doable. Don’t forget the foil pans that you must have to catch everything! And don’t forget the cover! It’s a must!
I’m completely happy with this blackstone. I’ve used it every night since I bought it and it’s very versatile and capable of everything especially for a lot of people. I recommend buying the accessory pack with oil/water, spatulas, scraper and a basting pan because this one doesn’t come with them. Get a cover too
This monster comes in a huge box that takes a few friends to haul wherever you want to put it together. This model has lots of extra features that are pretty nice add ons. It has a paper towel holder, a bottle opener with catch, and a built in cutting board. So prefect for party patio and games. The 4 burners give you a huge area to work on. Highly recommend!
This griddle is great. There is a learning curve to get the best out of your griddle. I opted for the 36 inch griddle because it has four heat control knobs and this allows me to vary the temperature which makes cooking easier. As food gets close to being done you can move the food to a low heat area while cooking other items on the hotter sections. Clean up is easy as well. I have made hibachi, fish tacos, smash burgers, big breakfasts and much more. My wife and I enjoy entertaining. Our guests rave about the food we make on our Blackstone. I watched a number of videos on YouTube to learn from others about cooking tips and to discover some wonderful recipes. I highly recommend the Blackstone griddle.
We love our new Blackstone and highly recommend it! It has been an amazing replacement to a grill, in fact we love it so much that we bought another smaller one for camping! This Blackstone arrived in a huge box on a pallet. Unfortunately it was missing instructions and a few bolts, but my husband was able to put it all together except for a handle that the missing bolts were for. It was already mostly assembled and very straightforward considering there was no manual. Blackstone customer service was fantastic and emailed us a .pdf instruction manual and shipped us a new hardware pack to replace the missing bolts. Easy setup and seasoning process... trust the process when it comes to seasoning and cleaning... it really turns out perfectly. Heats evenly. Works exceptionally well, though keep in mind it is cooler around the edges due to the large cooking surface. We've cooked a complete breakfast on this, pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage... and nothing sticks! We've also made some pretty epic burgers and can't wait to see what else we can do this summer!
This Blackstone griddle is something I have been wanting to get for a while. It is a great size for my large family and even when we have guests. This took me about an hour to put together but I go slow when putting things together. I read the instructions prior so I have an idea of the steps prior to assemly. This was easy to put together. Its more putting on the wheels, attaching the drop down sides etc. The most important step is seasoning the griddle. You do not want to skip this process. I first cleaned and dried the griddle with soap and water. Then I seasoned the griddle with Blackstones Griddle Seasoning and Cast iron conditioner. I heated up the griddle with all 4 burners on for 15 min. Put about 2 tablespoons on the griddle and used paper towels to spread a thin and even coating on heated it for 10 to 15 and repeated the process. I did this 4 times to make sure the griddle was properly seasoned. I love how versatile this griddle is compared to a grill. We took this on camping trip since it can be used to make so many more foods than a grill can. I made a full breakfast of pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns and bacon, we made burgers, stir fry, tacos and many more meals we wouldn't normally have made without this. I really like the heat distribution I can cook different foods at once that need different levels of heat and it cooks them all perfectly.
It took almost 2 months before I could get my Blackstone completely put together, but I'm so excited now that it's done. My Blackstone was in perfect condition inside it's box, but I was missing a few thumb screws and directions. But, no problem. I contacted Blackstone and they got what I needed to me. I do have one piece that didn't have a pre-drilled hole where it was supposed to be, but it still works (it's just the front storage tray) but it wobbles a little bit. Overall, this griddle is hefty and well made. The coating on the non-cook surfaces is a little chintzy and will scratch exceptionally easily, but, as soon as the griddle top is seasoned, the whole unit looks old and dirty, honestly. Just like Grandma's favorite cast iron pan! I absolutely love how there are wheels on all 4 legs of the griddle. My other grills have always only had 2 wheels on one side, so maneuvering has been annoying and challenging at times. But this Blackstone just slides on where I want her to go. I love that. The removable cutting board is a nifty addition. Anytime something is removable for cleaning, that helps a lot. I like how it's not an odd size, so if I want to replace the cutting board, it shouldn't be an issue later on. I absolutely recommend this griddle to anyone. Is there a learning curve? Yes, indeed. Temperatures must be watched because the griddle top holds heat a lot differently than open flame grilling. And each cooking session, the top must be re-seasoned to keep from rusting. Blackstone has tons of very helpful videos to watch to get one used to using their new griddle.
Huge fan of the blackstone. Amazing to cook on. Super easy to work and figure out. Both sides have handy hanging hooks for utensils. The magnetic strip on the front side of the shelves are our favorite. Great to just stick utensils on in the midst of cooking. You can also put your pans on it to cook to. Huge time saver so you’re not running back and forth between the grill and stove. If you’re debating on a smaller size, go with bigger one. You won’t regret it. Hanging rack for paper towels and bottle opener catch are handy too. Can’t wait to get more blackstone accessories.
I really like this Blackstone. I seemed to season easily and cooks great. I didn't get the Blackstone containers which were $57 each. I opted for the 7 gallon containers from a Walmart competitor that looks like a bullseye 😀 that fit like a glove. It didn't come with all of the accessories (just the container) but I like it.
Item was delivered, and it looked like it had been opened previously and re-taped. I opened the box to find the stabilizer shelf was bent. The propane tank attachments and front basket were missing. Put it together, and see that the hood is rubbing on the griddle and scratched the entire left side of the hood. Extremely disappointed with the quality of the item and it looks like someone had already opened it, took the items and it was taped back up.
