Awesome product especially for a i phone
Handy enough little clock/radio/charging station/speaker but with some annoying flaws. Pros: Compact. USB-A (flat connection) on the back in case your phone doesn't work with a wireless charger. Bluetooth connects easily. Cons: Initial setup is kind of annoying with buttons that have dual-purposes sometimes not doing what they seem like they should. The volume seems to randomly reset to maximum level. Summary: I use this in my home office to charge my phone and run a music app for background noise. It works just fine for that but I'm discovering that the volume randomly resets to maximum. This can be disconcerting when somebody decides it would be amusing to set your email alert to a Godzilla roar and you wake up at two in the morning to the King of Monsters trumpeting his presence. I mean I guess it was cool to immediately get the news that the flower delivery website had free shipping; I'm just not sure whether that news was worth the military scramble when the local base thought we were under radioactive lizard siege.
This thing is awful. Just awful. Randomly turns on at MAX VOLUME at the worst times, like 2 am before a really early morning. Also just started a very loud chime sound at random intervals throughout the night for no apparent reason. Pretty sure it comes posessed out of the box. Fail.
What kind of people sleep so soundly that they need an alarm that loud to wake them up? Glad I tested it out ahead of time. I want a clock radio that wakes me gently and plays my favorite radio station at a normal volume as I start my day. This would have to be put in a room by itself with the door shut and Iâd still hear it just fine
Haha Walmart why would you do this to your customers! This product is beyond garbage being marketed as a legitimate electronic. I like everyone else in the reviews was scared to death by this alarm clock from helll. Walmart products like this are killing your consumers trust.
I agree with everyone. The sound is amazing for a tiny radio, but it is not user friendly at all. If you turn the radio off, bluetooth automatically connects. This causes my phone to be heard through the speaker. The text clicks, the text notifications. I turned the stereo on this morning, and it was ridiculously loud. No way to actually turn it off, and you canât control the volume without switching between settings. Going back!
Too complicated! I had to read the directions and press a series of buttons just to turn down the volume! Also, when you listen to the radio, the display changes from clock to radio and doesnât revert back to the clock unless you turn off the radio. Waste of money. Itâs going back to Walmart.
First, I think this is an open box item. a) There was no film over the display, and there is an abrasion on the bezel lens on the far left side. It is not in the field of view of the L E D display, but it is an irritation. b) The only instructions were in English. Surely Walmart would not market an electronics product without at least Spanish instructions. c) The FM radio antenna was stowed in a wad, not neatly wrapped like it would be for a new product. d) The unit was smudged and in general was dirty. Second, the unit is warped. When placed on a flat surface, the unit rests on only three of four pads. The left rear pad is 1/16 inch above the surface. Third, the display is visible for the short interval while you are setting the clock, tuning the radio, changing volume, or simply anytime you touch a button. After a delay, the display goes into a dimmed mode which is too dimmed to read in any lighted condition. I can select the brightest display by pushing the snooze button, but it will revert back to unreadable after a few seconds. Fourth, the third digit of the clock (minute tens) intermittently goes blank. See picture below: The display will reset by changing the mode to FM radio, then back to clock, but it will come back to blank.
Brought this home to replace my old Sony alarm clock which had the old 30 pin iPod dock connector (before lightening connectors were a thing) and after about 10 minutes of fumbling with this thing and looking at the instructions, I want to return it. There is no way to change the volume of the alarm. It is set to max volume...always. I am not keen on waking up all my neighbors when this thing goes off in the morning. I live in an apartment and share walls with other bedrooms.
I purchased this a few weeks ago, got it home, I have been having the same problem everyone else has, you set the alarm to the radio, when the alarm goes off the volume is so loud and you can not correct it, and there is not a button to turn the alarm off after it starts playing the radio, so it returned it back to the Walmart that I purchased it at...
