Blade Runner: The Final Cut [Blu-ray]

One of my all time favorite movies and books. The Blu-ray version on an HD TV is fantastic. I seen this movie when it came out and the enhanced visual effects left me stunned, this version is breathtaking great. I own this movie on VHS, DVD and now Blu-ray, I also have the book.

I like this movie. Keeps my attention.

The order arrived in good shape and was the correct Final Cut edition. My only real gripe is that the cover in the listing did not match the one I received. I was hoping to get the Unicorn Cover but instead got the cover with the cast.

Classic entertain movie.

one of sci-fi's greatest works for like 7 bucks. this is essentially the director's cut (no decakrd narration, for example) and i can't say i noticed many differences from that version.

Some establishing shots are much crisper and less smoggy in the Blu-ray version, which I actually thought was a detraction from the original, due to the overpolluted state of LA acting as a touchstone to establishing the grime and gloom of BLADE RUNNER's dsytopia. Overall, i'm pleased with this version but found that to be a unwelcome change

It wasnt the item advertized 30th anniversary with the unicorn cover, other than that the blu ray was excellent in its visual quality, and im sure when i eventually get a 4k tv from walmart probobly around christmas or black friday when the prices drop, Ill get the 4k version, I wish I could find out if there is a difference between the dvd I got and the 30th anniversay which sells on ebay for over a hundred bucks ide like to know why and if there are any differences in the dvd itself or just the cover is different? ive been unable to find out online so any facts pertaining to my quirey would be greatly appreciated...

The movie is a 10/10 perfect masterpiece - however, the item photo on walmart.com denotes the 30th Anniversary edition (with the unicorn on the cover). I received the bare-bones Final Cut edition with an entirely different cover and special features. I kept it, since I only own Blade Runner on DVD, but I was very disappointed when I opened the package and realized I didn't get the cooler / fancier version I was under the impression I had ordered. I'd recommend buying in-store to ensure you receive the right product until Walmart decides to fix the image thumbnail to reflect what they're actually selling.
