Blame It All on Roots (CD) (Includes DVD)

I checked my store at first ,it was a Garth Brooks Box set which I watched on TV and the only place I could get it was at Walmart. One thing I would suggest that when something is going to be showcased at Walmart. The product needs to be in the stores at the time of the showing. It was at Walmart when I picked up my package. But how many people went there like me looking for it and was not there. They might have bought something or like me just walked out. Good thing I looked online. Oh by the way it was my 45 wedding anniversary present. Better than flowers lol.

There's a lot here that ranges from blues, old country, to classic rock. Garth Brooks really knows what he's doing. I was surprised by his Queen and Eagles covers. Initially bought this for my mom for Christmas, she's the reason why I love Garth Brooks (not a huge fan of country music), and I might end up stealing this instead. I'm jealous.

Garth's fans, all over the world, are very happy with his latest boxed set. It's good to hear his voice, again, in some new music (although I still listen to all of his earlier CDs). I'm completely satisfied with all of the CDs I already have; however, this is a different sound from Garth. His great songs are still there but, along with the set, his voice is singing with different music. Now, I'm going to love Garth from many years back and to infinity. I love Garth's music and there are many songs on his past CDs that some of you may not have heard, but they're great. So, back to the subject. Now I have the privilege of, again, listening to Garth's music in a unique way. No, I haven't heard or watched everything in the boxed set. I'm taking my time to enjoy all of it for the first time; however, from the Garth that I've seen and heard, it's going to be Garth. It's GARTH and how better could a boxed set be? Thanks, Garth, for allowing us to hear your voice again. It's an honor to have this boxed set in my possession. Thanks.

I love this CD & DVD set of Garth Brooks. I saw him on the Walmart commercial and I had to get this. I also couldn't believe the inexpensive price of this boxed set. I love his variety of music in this boxed set and especially the DVD set of him performing in Las Vegas. It is music I thought I would never hear Garth Brooks sing and he is unbelievable. Watching the DVD's I feel like I am in the audience of his Las Vegas show.

I cannot believe that they could sell this great boxed set for the price they do! The quality is excellent and the set is professionally packaged. I highly recommend this set. I ordered the sets; yes, at that price it will make an excellent Christmas present! - and they arrived in 3 days! Kudos to Wlmart.com!

Garth's roots are my roots, so I really enjoyed his rendition of many of my favorite rock songs from the 70's era, plus many of my favorite country songs. He stays true to the original styles instead of trying to 'improve' them with his own style and the result is a fun trip down the road of great songs from the past.

For the price and for what you get, you cannot go wrong! My ONLY complaint and it's a Big one is why did they have to use the "loudness war" for these CD's! You know, where they jack up the volume and makes them sound distorted! I mean this is Garth Brooks! First new CD's in YEARS, certainly he is above this garbage of jacking up the sound volumes I want the BEST sound CD's can give me! As I said, thats my Only complaint. The "new" cd's are great! Garth def has great taste in classic rock, motown and country! Great song lists on all 4 of the new CD's! They are also very well done, so many "cover" CD's are slapped together real fast as if they recorded them in one sitting just to satisfy a record deal, not so here, Garth delivers each song with PASSION! You get some great renditions of the classics! Also included is a 2009 show from the Wynn casino in Las Vegas on DVD, much like the TV special from Nov 30, 2013. I do like the show but the snippets gets old, I wish he played the full songs on many of them as they are great! You also get "the Ultimate Hits" CD/DVD. Packed with all Garth's classics and a DVD of 33 of his videos. What a great gift, what a great package, what a great price! Now for the coming 2014 Tour......!!!!!

In his live show I really liked some of the covers he did but I don't think they sound the same on the CD. The covers sound bland to me and he could have done better. His hits CDs are great as usual.

If Garth Brooks would have presented these covers in a manner suited to his voice this collection would have been fantastic. however he tries to emulate the original singers and falls short on almost every song. The country classic suit him well but the emulation and vocal change is still there. he is a great singer, but only if he makes the songs his own.
