Who would have thought: Let's have Corned Beef in Sep or for Oct Fest in a Ruben Sandwich with Sides adding spices with Apple Cider Vinegar to kick up the flavor! Or toss meat in a slow cooker with cabbage, fluid, carrots, red potatoes etc. (check out your cookbooks, ask friends for ideas or research on line for proper and safe cooking instructions). Such a yummy meat to enjoy!
Very good, not stringy and spiced right!
the package was leaking at one end altho i did not know this until i drive 45 minutes to get home %26 unloaded my pick up items. this is not good for WM --me or other customers. someone needs more training
This corned beef was at least 35 percent fat or more. Shopper for me made a very poor choice
We splurged on this purchase of $20.00 for Blarney Stone Corned Beef Brisket Flat cut believing it would be leftovers for three more meals. I knew beforehand even though our 3.55 lb. cut would shrink by a third that we'd still have enough for the two of us. I was surprised how much fat cap had been removed as if a butcher skillfully trimmed our purchase for optimum balance. I was disappointed in the spices which were a mere smear on the fat like a quick wipe with a butter knife. No problem: I have clove and bay leaves, garlic, a dash of peppers black and chipolte, and basil. What killed the deal for us was the salt. Our meat was so incredibly salty we could not eat it. Now, I did bake our meat instead of boiling and that may have caused the injections to concentrate the salts. Either way, the resultant centerpiece of future meals was nearly toxic. I tried a second recipe with the remainder for the next night of a chipped beef in milk gravy on country biscuit however we could not finish that Blarney Stone Corned Beef Brisket Flat as well. Again: too salty. I had designed the beef to be added to our third dinner of multi variety soup beans however I do not desire to damage another meal. I've since thrown the Blarney Stone Corned Beef Brisket Flat away which I hate doing as so many other families go without hot food. This meat is not food but dangerous to people on salt restricted diets. sincerely, hummingbird
This corned beef was too tough to eat. I cooked it in a crockpot as directed, but couldn't chew it. Cooked it two more hours and it was still inedible.
Been buying this brand for years. This time was the worst corned beef ever. When started cooking it foamed up like soap suds. Cooked it anyway. was so tough could not eat lt. It also ruined the vegetable s tossed all in the garbage.$20 bucks down the drain.
Corned beef is one of our favorite meals. I make a brisket often. Tried this brand. It was terrible. Won’t buy again.
After cooking until fork tender, this meat was so tough I could not chew it. I am Irish and I have cooked many a corned beef in my 75 years, and this is by far the worst I have ever seen.
Pure fat-no meat! Threw away 90%
