The pros:
It's beautiful! It looks just as stunning and fantastic as the pictures. It's more of a charcoal ashy black with texture, depth and a wood grain print that makes it look much higher end than just a plain black.
It has a ton of storage, and lots of really neat features that aren't really mentioned in the description. All the cabinets are micro adjustable for height, depth, left to right very easily at the hinge without having to actually move the hinges themselves. So you're able to make the armoire look perfect and not unbalanced.
The cabinets are all slow close, and that is super helpful.
The motion detection light is really fun and actually works really well (I wasn't expecting to like this function).
The hardware, as well as the directions are really well made and thought through. Every diagram consistently includes reference points to avoid confusion. And although assembly took a while, it was straight forward.
The company has amazing customer service and great communication. We actually bought 4 of these armoires (and might come back for a 5th). We did a remodel and are using these instead of a closet shelving for an unconventional walk in closet. The company emailed us making sure we truly wanted 4. Also one of the vanities had a damaged door and the company promptly made it right.
Overall its a really big, nice, high end looking armoire that is essentially a steal for the price. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
The cons:
The material of the cabinet is average, it's decent compostive wood, but the "paint" layer is more like a sticker type covering and it scratches extremely easily. We set ours up on blankets and they still got scratched and are getting minor scratches easily with use. I am not sure how long until we need to paint or cover up in some way.
Every armoire came with a minor defect or two. Nothing that affected usage, and little imperfections are to be expected but it was interesting to see how each one had a different little "flaw".
There are some flimsier or lower end aspects, like the bottom of the cabinet drawers are very thin and so is the backing of the cabinet. And some aspects I am curious to see how they hold up as they didn't feel as sturdy as a higher end more solid piece.
Also like others mentioned installing the dome top was difficult and required a lot of finessing. The only truly "difficult" part of the install but it worked out.
If I had paid thousands of dollars for this at a high end retailer I'd be disappointed if I am being honest, and give it 2-3 stars depending on the price paid. So the 5 stars is based on the product and price paid so overall what we got. But seeing what other options were available at this price point, this blows everything else out of the water. It's an absolutely amazing armoire for the price and at this price point, I'd buy it 10 times again. I've been recommending it to everyone I know and showing off pictures of it, because I think it's just so perfect.
