Great sunscreen

Ana May 27, 2022

I love the face it changes color. It's great and it helps. I bought it for my husband since he works in construction and spends all day in the sun. He no longer gets sunburned since he applies it every 2 hours. And I got it pretty fast for which I was thankful for since it's been getting hotter due to summer. I also got one for my baby since it is actually safe for them to use too.

Best sunscreen for sensitive skin

prettyhippo16 August 9, 2024

Blue lizard sunscreen is only sunscreen I buy for my children. They have very sensitive skin and this brand is only brand that doesn't irritates their skin.

High quality sun protection that saves our reefs

Issa May 8, 2023

Dermatologist approved high quality sun protection that saves our reefs, doesn't get any better! Wait, it does! The bottle changes colors in harmful UV rays reminding you to stay lathered up!

No scary chemicals!

Candace April 25, 2021

My dermatologist recommended this sunblock because it is natural. There is a recent study that shows the skin absorbs chemicals from traditional sunblocks (still unknown what the effect of the absorption is, though). This sunblock doesn't contain those chemicals. It is very thick and goes on white. You have to rub it in and then wait a little bit for the white to go away. Your skin will be very shiny. On my face, I used this under my foundation, which made the foundation slide quite a bit. I set it with some extra powder.

My only sunscreen!!

melissa July 22, 2023

Seriously the only sunscreen I use for myself and family. Out at Lake Tahoe all day and no burns. My kiddo was at soccer camp and never got sunburned thanks to this product. If you have the chance also buy the stick of this same blue lizard sunscreen. Great for faces.

Good Sunscreen for Sensitive Eyes

CKat December 7, 2024

This was what I have been looking for to use on my face. I have issues with other sunscreens causing my eyes to water/burn. The natural mineral sunscreen doesn't cause this issue and stays on well when I am exercising. It does take awhile to soak in and makes your skin look a little pale, but very good overall.

Always trying different SPFs

Jns0 June 18, 2024

I am always buying different SPFs as my family has a history of melanoma, and we are still very active outdoors. I kept hearing people rave about Blue Lizard and decided to try it for myself. My family did not burn when outdoors all day using it, but we had major white casting as a result of this stuff. No amount of rubbing it in seemed to help it go away. It was worse on husband's stuble. Won't buy this again because I don't like that it left me wondering if it actually absorbed into my skin or just sat on top waiting to be rubbed off by something.

Hard to say when I received an expired bottle!

Cat September 14, 2023

I received a bottle of Blue Lizard that expired six months earlier (03/23), which I didn't realize until after I'd opened it, and was flattening the bottle for the recycle bin. Before discovering it was out-of-date, I had sampled it on the back of one wrist and hand. The texture was creamy smooth and rubbed in well. [Perhaps some other reviewer's issues with a white cast came about from applying it too thickly.] I was disappointed in having to return the lotion and learning it is now out of stock, though if they're going to send expired product, that's probably just as well.

Walmart sent expired bottle

Fran June 13, 2025

This is not a bad review of Blue Lizard but rather of Walmart. They sent me an expired bottle of the sunscreen and I burned to a crip in every area that I used it on😵‍💫. Praying they will send me a new bottle - preferably not one that has expired.
