Blue lizard sunscreen is only sunscreen I buy for my children. They have very sensitive skin and this brand is only brand that doesn't irritates their skin.
I said it before and I'll say it again… Blue Lizard has everything you need. This product, and their whole line, effectively blocks the sun without having you feel like your body was dipped in wax. Non-irritating and has never stained my fabrics. I foolishly strayed out of boredom and tried other brands, but am happy to be using this again. The kids line is just as effective and non-irritating.
My kids have VERY fair skin and have to have zinc oxide In their sunblock for it to really work for them. This is the best for them and works every year! It was also recommended by our pediatrician and dermatologist as the best to use. We also use the lotion first before we go down and reapply with spray but lotion is always first.
other sunscreens would need to be applied every 20 mins and id still get a burn. this stuff goes on once and im out all day, no burn. ive already recommended it to a dozen people in person, decided to tell yall here too. the price is worth it if you burn easy!!!
I'm a tret user which means I have to absolutely wear sun protection daily. This sunscreen is excellent for a couple of reasons. 1. It does not leave a heavy white cast even though this is a mineral sunscreen. Once I gently dab it on, i keep dabbing until I get full coverage and it's clear. There's no need to rub it in. It'll turn clear as soon as you start DABBING it in with both hands. 2. A little goes a long way. 3. I'm out n about with my toddler almost daily in sun, I haven't had any instances of sun burn. I take it out with me and I reapply every hour or so. 4. If I feel my face needs some extra TLC, I put this sunscreen on my face before bed and sleep in it. I wake up with skin so flawless and dewy. 5. It does not sting my eyes. I apply this ALL OVER my face including my eyes. Under eyes and eye lids. No issues with stinging like I have had with others. If I had anything “negative” to say it would be.. 1. The bottle isn't user friendly. When I shake the bottle before use, I have to unscrew the top to let some air in before I can squeeze and sunscreen out. Without doing this, the shaking creates some sort of vacuum where it'll cause major spilling if you don't let some air in by unscrewing it first. Don't flip open the top otherwise it'll spill all over. Let's some air in first. 2. It can leave your face greasy looking. I normally just dab my face with a tissue and that gently removes some of the grease.
I have fair skinned, strawberry blonde children with sensitive skin. We have been using this product for 5 years now and none of them have been sun burned with it. 10/10 recommend. As long as you rub in throughly it doesn't leave a white cast on the skin.
Seriously the only sunscreen I use for myself and family. Out at Lake Tahoe all day and no burns. My kiddo was at soccer camp and never got sunburned thanks to this product. If you have the chance also buy the stick of this same blue lizard sunscreen. Great for faces.
This was what I have been looking for to use on my face. I have issues with other sunscreens causing my eyes to water/burn. The natural mineral sunscreen doesn't cause this issue and stays on well when I am exercising. It does take awhile to soak in and makes your skin look a little pale, but very good overall.
I am always buying different SPFs as my family has a history of melanoma, and we are still very active outdoors. I kept hearing people rave about Blue Lizard and decided to try it for myself. My family did not burn when outdoors all day using it, but we had major white casting as a result of this stuff. No amount of rubbing it in seemed to help it go away. It was worse on husband's stuble. Won't buy this again because I don't like that it left me wondering if it actually absorbed into my skin or just sat on top waiting to be rubbed off by something.
Aveeno baby is much better in my opinion as it is twice as thick. This has a ton of "other" ingredients so it's not just titanium dioxide. The liquid comes pouring out almost like water so I have to use twice as much as the Aveeno. Also no way to avoid the white haze. I just may go back to a chemical sunscreen.
