Blue Snowball iCE Condenser USB Microphone, Cardioid

The snowball ice microphone by BLUE has been an absolute dream. When I got it, I ran a quick test to compare the difference between the snowball microphone and my macbook pro's built in microphone. It's not even close. Standard computer mic's sound like the speaker is underwater. The snowball eliminated excess noise, clarified my voice, and made me sound great. The design is sleek, it's not too big and sits nicely on my desk. The circular head of the microphone actually swivels around so that you can steer the direction of the mic as needed which is a huge help. There is a built in pop filter in the front of the mic so no worrying about adding a dead cat or wind screen of any sort. A red light on the top indicates when the mic is plugged in and ready to go. You can't beat that. It takes the guess work out of the set up. With other microphones, I've had serious issues going from mic, to sound board, to computer. With this one, it's a simple plug and play set up that I really love. Wasn't sure how much I'd like it, as I own several mics worth $200 PLUS...but for the money—you can't beat this!

This microphone is remarkable and well worth it! The incoming/receiver sound is very crisp and clear. My daughter loves to use the microphone for her YouTube vlogs. She loves how everything is clear and her fans can hear her perfectly while streaming. Also, it's great for gaming. We use it on our PC and PS4 system and it works perfectly. I use it on my conference calls and meetings. I really love that it comes with a stand which really emphasizes the sound and look. This is definitely must have!

This microphone works for both my desktop and laptop computers. My desktop has windows 8 and my laptop has windows 10. My desktops microphone never worked so this snowball microphone comes in handy when my son is interacting with his teacher online while homeschooling.

This mic is outstanding compared to my build in laptop mic. I use this external mic for recording podcast and it's close clear. There isn't much echo or surrounding sound when recording. It was easy to plug into my usb. Steady mic and great sound capture. I can really hear the difference in sound quality when comparing the recordings. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microphone looks and feels premium. A mixture of matte black plastic and metal. The microphone is fairly big and also has a lot of weight. You can easily transport this in a laptop bag but size and weight are a factor. The main ball screws into a collapsible tripod stand which allows it to stand steady. The cable is a good length to be able to move the microphone and has a large USB attachment to your computer. Simply plug in and ready to go. Due to the size of the ball it does a much better job when picking up audio when recording or using social media to video call. With all the noise from daily life this microphone does a good job at picking up the clear audio. My daughter loves using this microphone to record her piano practice. This is a nice item and something I would recommend of the size does not put you off for clear audio recording and chats

The Blue Sbowball Ice microphone looks incredibly stylish and cool. I'd say that's its biggest pro. Next would be how easy it is to setup, you literally plug it into an available USB port and .go with some minor settings that may or may not be needed. I did have to adjust my input sensitivity level to 100% to have the microphone pick up my voice better from approx 2 feet away. The mic is powered from the usb so no extra ac plug needed. The tripod the mic uses is quite sturdy. Very nice microphone for the price range.

Quality is everything! This is one of the most valuable electronic accessories that I love for my computer. The Blue Snowball Microphone really does wonders and even at a higher price tag, it really proves worthy of every cent! The design is so unique towards other microphones. The sound is captured clear and without any other noise getting picked up as well. This is a perfect way to chat online with others or record videos, even podcasts. The shape I love, the sturdy tripod that holds the microphone up is wonderful. Even for such a huge, round globe style mic. Also, it has the perfect result of a nice playback once it's done recording. However, one thing I am wary about is that a piece on the top of the tripod seems to strip very easily if it's plastic on top. Not sure, but to be on the safe side, best to put it on once and leave it together. Even with that one issue, I still love how easy this product is. It's simple enough to use every single day and I can take it to any computer because no driver is needed, just like a mouse, plug, and play. It really is an amazing microphone and I never knew that there could be a better type, until having this brand! Finally, I have to say that this really provides me with the best quality in sound capturing and such a nice design, like a professional recorder and mic for everything I need it for. I am very happy with this brand and really love the HD results that I feel great sharing online.
