The snowball ice microphone by BLUE has been an absolute dream. When I got it, I ran a quick test to compare the difference between the snowball microphone and my macbook pro's built in microphone. It's not even close. Standard computer mic's sound like the speaker is underwater. The snowball eliminated excess noise, clarified my voice, and made me sound great. The design is sleek, it's not too big and sits nicely on my desk. The circular head of the microphone actually swivels around so that you can steer the direction of the mic as needed which is a huge help. There is a built in pop filter in the front of the mic so no worrying about adding a dead cat or wind screen of any sort. A red light on the top indicates when the mic is plugged in and ready to go. You can't beat that. It takes the guess work out of the set up. With other microphones, I've had serious issues going from mic, to sound board, to computer. With this one, it's a simple plug and play set up that I really love. Wasn't sure how much I'd like it, as I own several mics worth $200 PLUS...but for the money—you can't beat this!

I love the design and quality of the microphone, the quality and sounds of my voice really Pops out! The clarity my voice and sounds is so clear. Background noise is cleaned and less Hiss sound on my voice. The microphone feels like it was made of metal, it has a bit weight on it. The microphone comes with a small tripod stand and it's foldable, I can also use it on standard microphone stand which is a plus! Another great feature is its Plug and Play! No software installation Needed! Great for recording song and music! I really love this microphone! This is a great investment! Must haves! I highly recommend it!

I received this microphone to review in exchange of my honest and non-biased opinion. I was actually in the market to purchase a microphone for streaming purposes as well as for better audio while communicating with colleagues through the Zoom app. Not knowing the price of this microphone, I actually looked it up online to see, and it's pretty reasonably priced considering the quality that it is. I have seen many mics that were much more expensive, and if you are looking to not break the bank, at only about $40, this one would make a nice “first timer”, or long-term option depending upon how you plan on using the mic, as well as how often you plan on using it. So, let's get into the pros and cons in a nutshell of this microphone: Pros: • The sound is nice and clear • Doesn't take up too much desk space • Quite Easy to setup; directions are easy to follow • Stand legs are sturdy • Price; it won't break the bank Cons: • May not be the best option for Pros • Sometimes background is heard a little too easily (easy fix might be to adjust the sensitivity from your computer). I was able to have a chance to use this microphone in a morning Zoom meeting while meeting with a few of my colleagues, and I asked them how the sound was. They all agreed that they were able to hear me a lot better with the microphone versus before when it always sounded like I was talking low, so this microphone has come in handy for work! My son was also able to use it to do a bit of streaming with his friends, and the sound was very clear! So, with all of that being said, I would definitely recommend this microphone to anyone who is looking to buy a good quality one, while still staying within budget!

As a gamer and gaming family, I know how important a good mic is. Blue makes some of the best microphones out there and this is a fantastic mic and an amazing price point. Setup is easy, quality is great, and aesthetically it simply looks amazing. It feels solidly built and made to last a long time. The tripod and the grips keep the mic in place and stand at a decent height. I really love how clear it picks up my voice, leaving a clear crisp sound for gaming, potential podcasts, and working from home, which many of us are having to do now.

The Blue Snowball Ice Condenser Microphone is a high quality plug and play device that requires no special drivers and was easy to set up on my PC. This device can also be used on a Mac computer (Apple) if this is what you have. I used it for Skype to do some video calls. I tested the sound using Skype audio test feature and found the sound to be crisp and clear. My recipients also commented how well they could hear me throughout the call. I think this will also be great for my use in tutoring my students in the Fall. Much better than the standard mics you find on your computer. Invest in a plug and play microphone for better sound quality. I also loved the design of the snowball ice which a had vintage feel.

This microphone is perfect for streaming and recording. Especially in these times with everything going remote, it is important to have a good microphone. It plugs right into the USB port, so it is easy to install and use right away. The audio is clear and way better quality than any computer built in micrphone. I personally use this mostly for Skype calls and such. I whether you want to just talk to family, or run your business professionally, I'd highly suggest this microphone. It has a tripod desktop stand that is adjustable. Updates to the firmware are included with the app for the product. It is compatible with PC and Mac. It is compatible among many devices, from desktop to laptop to tablets/iPad. The base does take up a bit of room on the desk, but it is a sturdy stand. It has different setting options, so I had to play around with it a bit before I found the sweet spot. The only thing is that it picked up the AC running in my house and recorded that as background noise. So very sensitive to pick up sounds, which is great for recording, but I'd try to eliminate any noises in the room. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone as it is so easy to use and good quality for the price point.

Quality is everything! This is one of the most valuable electronic accessories that I love for my computer. The Blue Snowball Microphone really does wonders and even at a higher price tag, it really proves worthy of every cent! The design is so unique towards other microphones. The sound is captured clear and without any other noise getting picked up as well. This is a perfect way to chat online with others or record videos, even podcasts. The shape I love, the sturdy tripod that holds the microphone up is wonderful. Even for such a huge, round globe style mic. Also, it has the perfect result of a nice playback once it's done recording. However, one thing I am wary about is that a piece on the top of the tripod seems to strip very easily if it's plastic on top. Not sure, but to be on the safe side, best to put it on once and leave it together. Even with that one issue, I still love how easy this product is. It's simple enough to use every single day and I can take it to any computer because no driver is needed, just like a mouse, plug, and play. It really is an amazing microphone and I never knew that there could be a better type, until having this brand! Finally, I have to say that this really provides me with the best quality in sound capturing and such a nice design, like a professional recorder and mic for everything I need it for. I am very happy with this brand and really love the HD results that I feel great sharing online.

It's beautiful! I love the design but the only thing I don't like is that it isn't loud enough, I even went to the settings to turn up the volume but I don't hear any difference than using my laptop's microphone, I wish it was much louder and clearer, you have to put it closer to your mouth to hear, other than that I love the way it looks.
