The ladder itself is great....the assembly was frustrating. It was very difficult to follow the instructions and the pictures were worthless. We were short 2 screws, but they can easily be replaced. A similar ladder from a pool store in my town was over $300. Great ladder for the price.
Nice ladder to replace cheap one that came with pool. Only issue was instructions were horrible for assembly and took over an hour to put together - other than that nice ladder for the price
I bought this ladder to make it easier for my elderly Mom to get in and out of the pool. Time consuming to put together, definitely took 2 people once it was completed to place it in the pool. Strong and sturdy. I think I got my money's worth and would recommend it to anyone.
This ladder works only if your pool is truly above ground. If your above ground pool is sunk in, then there will be a height difference between the ladder outside vs inside the pool. In this situation i had to cut off 2 feet from the outside leg to make it work. Additional modifications allowed me to use the lift up safety feature.
The ladder's instructions were not completely clear. After reading it about ten times, and having others read it, some of it made sense. No links to youtube videos. Not enough screws to complete the job (although they did send them after calling). After assembly at the 48” height, it still was too high for the pool, the ladder was very wobbly. And the kicker, raising the ladder (gate) was impossible. It lifted most of the way until the top rung stopped it from going further. Very unsteady and this ladder is UNSAFE. For warranty purposes the company requires you to drill into pool frame. Yet that itself could void any pool warranty. I would give the product no stars but I had to give it one to make this review work.
This ladder was extremely difficult to put together. The pegs that were to go in holes did not fit and we had to use braces to hold the pieces together while we hammered them in with a ballpine hammer and even then they were not in all the way. One of the cross braces that would help keep it together wouild not snap on at all. The place where it was to fit in was not wide enough. I think we will have to whittle the plastic tabs down so they will fit in and hit them with the ballpine hammer. In the water, the steps need a lot of weight to keep them from floating up or moving. We have two 50 lb bags of sand holding the steps in place and they still move around. We may have to invent something to anchor them better. The outside steps were supposed to be adjustable from 48" high pool wall to 54" but they will not come down from where they are at 54" to fit out pool at 48". There is molded plastic that will not allow the connecting piece to slide down further even though there are bolt holes ore-drilled to do so. That meant that the steps on the ground are a long way from touching the ground. We have put concrete slabs under the end of the ladder, which will have to do. All in all, this was an expensive disappointment. I would not recommend the steps. I like having the tiered steps on the water side as it is a place we can sit if we get tired in the water. But getting in and out at our age is a little insecure due to the lack of stability of the entire structure.
Not sturdy even my son who is only 50lbs it would wobble and stairs would flex
Rated for 300 lb won't even hold 250 lb not even stable want to shift side to side when you try to use it it is the biggest piece of junk I wasted my money on.
This ladder is not any sturdier construction than the ladder that came with the intex pool. The ladder flexes when you climb up or down. Says that it supports up to 250 lbs but I would not recommend this for anyone close to that weight. OK for kids but has to be attached to the pool for support. The site makes it too difficult to even enter a review
The description on the ladder is false. States up to 300 pounds. The paper work that comes with it states up to 250 pounds. When in reality it won't even hold 100 pounds without splitting in half. I returned the ladder and purchased a differnt one from a pool store. Horrible design, terrible product. DO NOT buy!
