Could be a life saver

Go First responders April 2, 2020

Bought this during the Coronavirus pandemic, since we have a first responder family member at home. After he comes back from the frontline, the purifier not only get fresh air for him, but also protest our family.

More than we need

SedonaGal June 30, 2020

We bought the Classic 280i a month ago to replace a 10 year old 200 series which had finally given up. We are very happy with the new one, but don't really need the odor filter nor any of the remote apps or controls. We simply turn it on and let it run. Thankfully it also takes the less expensive regular filters and that's what we'll continue using.

A Fine Unit for Smaller Spaces

Californiacloud 9 May 26, 2022

I have had this unit for approximately a month. I bought it to supplement two larger (680i) units that I have in bigger areas of my small home. The 280i unit fits well into a small bedroom at the end of a hallway. I have it positioned within a few feet of the open doorway, so that it also brings in some of the air from the hallway. Although it is not as powerful or effective as the two 680i units I own, it really works well for this specific purpose, and in conjunction with the larger units, it really contributes to keeping my indoor air quality high. The unit was easy to set up and connect to the internet. I keep it on automatic most of the time, but if the air doesn't seem fresh enough, I turn it up to the second level on manual. I never need to run it on the highest setting, and thus far the automatic setting has kept it on the lowest setting at all times.

It'll change your life for the better!

Anonymous November 14, 2021

After much review we chose BlueAir based on a combination of a Canadian consumer report and a PhD presentation comparing air purifiers. It was easy to set up and we could feel/smell the difference in two days. After a few weeks we decided to get one for each floor in our home. Not only do we breathe better but our guests can no longer smell 'dog' in our house.

Amazing...

BonBon May 28, 2022

I bought two for my small cottage in N. California. I have cats (dander) a fireplace (smoke) and live by a creek under the redwoods (mold). Wow. After the first night running both units, I woke up WITHOUT a stuffy nose, and no sneezing! And happy I upgraded and bought the units with the PM display! This thing is so sensitive that when on "auto" mode, it will kick in when I light scented candles or if my smoker friend walks by it after having a cigarette outside. Makes you really aware of toxins in your air.

Quiet Clean Air

Al W March 21, 2022

Quality remains the same. Clean room air without fan noise. Long 6 month filter life. This is our third Blueair. Our 601 is now 14 years old, and our 215 B is 12 years old. Both the Blueair 601 and 215 B are running like new. Quality pays in the long run!

Love this air filter!

Ori16 April 16, 2022

This air filter is a miracle worker! We have a problem of neighboring cigarette smoke and very strong cooking odors coming in thorugh shared walls and running this machine eliminated the issue! I even tried a competing air filter and it failed compared to Blueair. I've bought four of these now, for bedrooms, livingn room and the original offensive mud room with shared walls. In addition, we have very polluted air quality where I live - from pollens to factories and again, this air filter really cleans up our air! Thank you Blueair!

Healthier and fresher

forwardgal October 3, 2021

Love my machine (280i), except it won't allow me to sync my WiFi/phone, probably because I'm not close to my WiFi on a lower floor and other end of the house. That would allow me to put on auto. But the quality of air in my bedroom is so much improved. I'm sleeping better; waking up without congestion. Even my companion, who sleeps here sometimes, sleeps better and wakes up refreshed. He even snores less! It's so quiet on low speed for sleep, but medium isn't bad. Sometimes I run it on high during the day to really clean the air. My companion unpacked and set it up for me. I'm very tiny. But, I'm pretty sure someone of normal size could do it alone.

overall nice air filter, but app has limitations

Truckeegal April 6, 2021

I bought this for the air cleaning and it's auto feature. The unit works well in cleaning the air but the app does not do what I want. The app lets you program it to stay on for a specified amount of time. It turns on and off according to your schedule. There is a manual on/off as well. What I wanted was an auto mode that detects high PM or VOC and automatically turns the unit on based on the readings then turns off when the values decrease. There are other mfg whose units do work this way. A big disappointment for me that the app does not work this way. There is no way of knowing until you buy the product as website info makes it appear that unit will operate in this way. Another note, Q&A woefully lacking in instructions about installing the app. FYI -when you attempt to set up to your 2.4G network, it will set up under a *temporary* non-protected classic-config network. Don't worry, it will set up and then use your secure 2.4G network and the temporary network goes away. This tidbit had me stumped for a week as I did not want to connect to a non-secure network.

Does the job while it's running

Jesuslovesjudy August 12, 2020

We bought two of them, one for each room. It removes the bad smell that the apartment had (as long as it's running). I did try turning it off and the bad apartment came back, so I leave it on at all times. When I popped a bag of popcorn it automatically turned on high and filtered out the smoke. Overall I'm quite happy with it so far.
