Blueair Air Purifier Replacement Filter, Blue 121 Particle and Activated Carbon Filter

I live in a city where the air is very dirty because my neighborhood is bordered by 3 major freeways. Obviously, I don't open my windows much, but after running my unit 24/7 for 6 months, I can't believe how dirty my filter gets. It was very dark black when I took the old filter out. I am sure glad that the Blueair Pure 121 filtered out all of those particulates from my apartment.

This product does exactly what it promises to do. We have been using it for a few years now and rely on this for air filtration in our home.

Significant size filter for the 121 unit. I wish there was an indicator that would let me know when the filter is spent; I've enrolled for the filter subscription to ensure I don't overuse the filter (my last one was not changed for 2 years). Overall happy with the performance of the unit, which is running in my Loft most of the day, cleaning the air at that level of my home.

I hope Blueair continues to make this filter. I have two Blue Pure 121 units, and I love them.

I'm super happy with my Blueair 121 air filter it's been great for allergies and a savior during the Northern California fires. I purchased the replacement filter now because I'm at the end of 5th month and expect to change it next month. Yellow change color hasn't shown yet but will change it next month even if it doesn't. Can't review what it's like to change but it looks easy.

I have had Blueair filters in my residence for years. I currently have three (one 121 and two 411's) going 24/7. Here in Oregon we have forest fires every summer now. The smoke from the fires would make life miserable without the filters with smoke filtering capabilities. I replace the filters about every 9 months. I'd tell you how long the fan units last except I've never had to replace one. I'm very satisfied with the Blueair replacement filters and the Blueair units. The price is a bit high and I would prefer if the filters said made in the USA on them, but they get 5 stars anyway.

We have 5 different Blueair purifiers placed throughout our home. This particular device is placed in a large dining room area and is tasked with the additional load of filtering whatever enters the air in the hardworking kitchen and wafts past a smaller device in place there. This machine , equipped with the Blue Pure 121 extra protection particle and carbon filter, additionally handles particles introduced by large numbers of guests, art materials (the room doubles as my studio), candles, the dog and whatever else heavy traffic into and out of the kitchen introduces . It performs perfectly.

It's a replacement filter. What can I say. It was easy to order and arrived promptly and intact. I installed it myself in less that a minute.It can be recycled which is good. It was expensive. With hazardous air quality from the wildfires in Northern California, it is much needed.

Unfortunately now these filters come with an aweful toxic smell. It gave my wife a headache and was truly frustrating for me. If they could make again a filter that didn't have a toxic smelling filter it would be a great product but at this point I am going to have to look into some alternatives for air filtration. I also would like it if the carbon portion of the filter was on the outside. This would decrease the potential of adding any elemental carbon into the air. This would make the filter similar to a carbon clean 16 filter for an Hvac which is a merv 16 filter.

Not Blueair, not the 121 filter. Do NOT waste your time, you will have to return this just as I am doing.
