After trying many gluten free waffle/pancake mixes and even trying to make my own without a doubt this mix is the End All! Absolutely delectable waffles and pancake that brown up beautifully. Finally after years of missing having a pancake, I can have this Paleo Mix with no guilt. Thank you Bob's Red Mill
Made DELICIOUS pancakes first time with Bob's paleo pancake mix. Had tried paleo pancake mixes, all tasted terrible. But Bob's created a batter like old fashioned pancakes, turning golden brown on the skillet, fluffy! I added blueberries and a bit of vanilla. Thank you, Bob's!
I am in love with this paleo pancake & waffle mix. I probably have tried every gluten free mix in the market and this one surpasses them all! My husband who doesn't like any gluten free mix is in love with this one too over all mixes (even the regulars), so it's a staple in our kitchen. Also as a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition, this is a brand and product I approve & love.
These make the best pancakes for the paleo minded individuals out there. Follow the directions and then fry them for 1:30 minutes per side they come out perfect. I use a cast iron griddle warming it up on 5 for about 10 minutes I have an electric oven. Pancake perfection.
I used whole milk instead of water and a tablespoon of melted butter instead of coconut oil, fried them up with some butter. They turned out fluffy with lovely crisp edges, flavour and texture is very close to traditional pancakes, but the difference in both is slight and not off putting like many gluten free products I have tried in the past. These are very good with sour cherry maple syrup as the bulk of this batter is almond meal. I'm not on a paleo or gluten free diet but I would buy and eat these again. Hight protein and fibre makes it an even more desirable product, plus no bloat like with traditional pancakes!
This is hands down the best paleo pancake mix we have ever had! The entire family loves it. Our only complaint is we didn't order more bags because it takes a bag to feed a family.
Before I went Keto I used to use this pancake mix. I usually like to make everything from scratch but this mix was too consistently good to not use. I've had visitors stay overnight and rave about my pancakes. I've turned on some friends to this mix.
I think the blend is fine, works for pancakes, have not tried it for waffles. I would love to see if I can change up the recipe here for crepes, have to do some experimenting. Taste is what you expect from no wheat, a little flat, but I think cooking it hotter and faster leaves it a little fluffier.
I'm diabetic, on a low-carb , whole food, grain-free diet. While I wouldn't classify these as exactly low-carb (by super strict, low-carb standards) they're a great treat for me because they do not spike my sugars to crazy levels. I enjoy a serving of 2 topped with Greek yogurt, fruit, berries, nuts or seeds, cacao nibs, and coconut flakes. I add a tsp of vanilla extract to the batter for some added flavor, and sometimes cinnamon, nutmeg, and/or ginger. The batter is easy to make, and they're easy to cook (sometimes grain-free requires a learning curve, these do not.) My only gripe is that they are on the pricey end, which is partly why I make them as a treat. Glad to have these as an option though, as some keto varieties that I've tried leave much to be desired. My husband eats my diet out of solidarity (and because I do the cooking) and says that the Bob's Red Mill are his favorite out of all the varieties we've tried.
This mix tastes great! It's a little extra work because you need to add eggs and vanilla etc but as a gluten free option is quite good. My biggest “issue” is it is very expensive at about $1/oz
