The first time I tried Bob's Red mill Oatmeal was on a whim. I bought a cup while shopping at my local market. One cup was all it took. I went online and purchased a variety of choices and they are all superb! I prefer Classic and Blueberry while my wife enjoys Brown Sugar and Apple. Simply the best !
The Classic oatmeal has met my expectations for easy to prepare oatmeal for one person. I did find that with my microwave it is necessary to lower the cook time to 45 seconds and lower the temp to 7 to avoid the oatmeal from boiling over. Because the oatmeal is unsweetened I can add my own banana and flavored yogurt to get just the sweetness I prefer.
More substantial than expected. If you want a chewy oatmeal, like non-instant, this is for you. I needed a real soft porridge for digestive reasons. It didn't suit. But I think most people will appreciate this one. Make other "friendly" brands feel like pablum.
This is good, old fashioned, stick to your ribs oatmeal, like my Mama used to make back in the 50s. When you take it out of the microwave you'll be amazed at how full-bodied and satisfying it is. My wife first discovered this in the local grocery store, and we're hooked. Only regret is we didn't discover this years ago. Bob and Charlee's wholesome values are reflected in a fine product.
I am so thrilled to have found single serving cups of organic classic oatmeal with flax and Chia! It's easy to make in the morning, very filling, and perfect for these cold winter mornings. I will be ordering by the case from now on! If you buy two cases, the customer rep told me shipping is free… Thanks for that piece of advice!
This is my favorite quick breakfast. I make sure my pantry is stocked with them because there are times when I don't have time, or just don't feel like, cooking breakfast. I try not to eat anything with added sugar, so these make a filling breakfast that is ready in just a minute or two. Love them.
This Organic Oatmeal Cup made a perfect breakfast while camping in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks this summer. Also a couple weeks ago it served me well for a quick nutritious breakfast while recovering from foot surgery. Easy prep for my caregivers.
Oatmeal is great. Long time Customer. However, discontinuing the lid is ridiculous and making me rethink continuing. How can you transport it after pouring hot water into the cup for the convenience of having it ready when I reach my stop? I am sure there were great savings to Bob's, but the price to consumers is the same as if it had lids. Bob's customer service was apologetic and offered other consumer ideas like covering with a mason jar lid or foil with a rubber band. I recycle so the lids never get to the landfill. Individual containers are for convenience. No lid, no convenience. Might as well buy in bulk and use my own container. BRING BACK THE LIDS!
Love the convenience and the added protein from the flax and Chia seeds. I dislike the salt, and I wish they hadn't discontinued the lid. It needs to be covered after adding the hot water. That's just an extra thing I have to figure out when I'm rushing in the morning at work. But otherwise, good product.
Big fan of Bob's Red Mill products, particularly their steel cut oats. This oatmeal, cup, however, is very disappointing because it is way too salty. Two of my adult children and my husband also tried it and came to the same conclusion - it is almost indelible. Why add so much salt to this product? It makes little sense to me. I like plain oatmeal, but had to add a lot of different ingredients to make this passable: dried blueberries, honey, cinammon, maple flakes....
