The reason why Bob's Red Mill 5 Grain cereal has 5 stars is because it is delicious with a fantastic texture. There is no other cereal that can compare to this. The preparation is easy and smells wonderful while it is cooking in the morning. I just add fruit .....no need for sugar or any other sweetness because the grains have such great depth of taste, but to each his own. I prefer Bob's Red Mill cereal and products because they do not fortify them with iron. Individuals with "iron overload" (and there are many) cannot risk their health by eating the many cereals that are ridiculously fortified with iron.
I love this cereal - no dried fruit. It's simply the best, hot or cold!
Very easy to cook, the taste is an old fashioned very natural taste and once and for all.......NO SUGAR!
just enough grain to be health
great breakfast cereal
This a great product and great company. The food they sell is the best I have ever seen. Being a diabetic, you have to watch your food intake but this 5 grain cereal gives me few problems. The cereal digests slowly minimizing sugar spikes. Great product. And if you are in the Portland, Oregon area visit their store for a super breakfast experience.
I ordered 2 bags of this cereal to use in my multigrain bread dough. Love it and nothing compares to it. What impressed me even more was when I called the company, concerned about package delivery date. I spoke with Tim who not only answered all my questions, he was patient and is an asset to customer service.
I love the whole grain goodness of these multi-grain cereals. The 7-Grain is our staple. But there are so many others on the website. This was an "expand our horizons" order. It will be a while before we try the 5-grain, but each one we've tried is awesome!
I mix this stuff 50-50 with quick oats (in large batches), and soak it in milk for 20 minutes as soon as I wake up. It softens while retaining some chew and is great. I have always gotten it at the local grocery store, but they stopped stocking, so I just ordered a bunch directly.
An excellent change of pace from other hot cereals. I have been searching our Bob's mixed grain cereals for years. They are not available through retailers in my community. Thanks to Bob's Red Mill retail service center I can still enjoy these unique products
