Bob's Red Mill Extra Thick Rolled Oats, 16-ounce

My absolute favorite type of oats. So much oat taste and texture. I like to make it with milk, add in blueberries and/or bananas and walnuts, with just a bit of maple syrup. Yum.

My wife bought me this 2 months ago and I have been eating them every morning. They are the best tasting I ever had.

I love the thick oats. I eat them every morning for breakfast. Even when I go out of town I prep up servings to eat. I can't imagine starting my day without them. They keep my full and loaded with energy. I mix in peanut butter and protein powder. Sometimes I put dry oats into smoothies. I just love the thick rich taste of them. I also home cook for my dog and use oats in her food. I am 100% about health and nutrition and this is a staple in my diet. I order 75-100lbs at a time to last the year!

My family loves these extra thick oats! If you like your oatmeal to have some texture, I highly recommend these. They do take a little longer to cook, but it's worth it for the texture you get. I personally don't like quick cooking oats that are more powder than oats.

Honestly one of the best rolled oats we have ever had. A nice thick oats that doesn't get mushy. It microwaves nicely and has a pleasing, nutty taste. Very satisfying and makes amazing oatmeal raisin cookies. We have resorted to buy this in 25lb. bags. Great stuff.

Although we order several cases of assorted Bob's cereals every couple of months, (and we start every day with a bowl of one of them) the Extra Thick Rolled Oats are at the top of that list and definitely one of my all time favorites! I especially love mixing in a bit of the Organic Scottish Oatmeal for a super creamy, belly warming breakfast!

I have been eating and loving these Bob's Red Mill Extra Thick Rolled Oats for many years now. When local stores stopped carrying them, I had to order directly from the source. Frankly, that's relieved me of the aggravation of searching locally. I am a confirmed customer for life.

The texture has changed, and these no longer behave like rolled oats when I cook them. They used to get lovely and creamy. Now they have the consistency of steel cut oats. They do not absorb water as well, and they tend to overflow the bowl when I microwave them. They also aren't as good as another brand of extra thick rolled oats that I can no longer find anywhere. Very disappointing.

You ask me how I like it. I already told you that I bought it to avoid paying for shipping on the oat bran that I wanted. I plan to use the oat bran next month after my present supply is exhausted. I also have oatmeal on hand so it may be several months before the extra thick is even opened.

First time to try your thick rolled oats. Had some in Detroit with a friend last winter and have missed the wonderful texture of thick rolled oats. I'm sure it will be wonderful. Had to fix the 10 grain cereal today because we had been out for a while. Tomorrow we'll do the oatmeal. Have tried your regular rolled oats and it was good, but looking forward to the thicker version.
