This is the best Bob's has to offer! This is mostly coconut and seeds which I love to mix with my homemade granola to top on yogurt, make a trail mix, I use it a alone to top smoothie bowls and salad...everything!
Love it! I originally tried this because of the abundance of coconut, because it is one of my favorite ingredients and so many mueslis don't have enough. But this Paleo mix has such a wonderful combination of 10 fruits, nuts, and seeds, that I add some to my oatmeal or whole grain cooked cereal and other times I mix it in with a plainer muesli. It's also great to have a handful for a quick snack or pick-me-up when I'm on the go.
I liked this product when given a sample at our local health food store. But when my entire family said "yum" after they poured it in their breakfast bowl, it earned the highest rating. Others have complained about an overabundance of coconut. I have never been a big coconut fan, but this coconut is very good, not too dry.
excellent! love the coconut flakes and quality nuts. I have been having the purple gluten-free museli from the same company as it is the only one available in my local whoefoods, until I found this actually in a upscale supermarket on a trip to Aruba. It is a significant upgrade to the purple version and I absolutely love it - so much that I went to the company's website to order these in bulks. worth it!
Yes, this is coconut overload, but my paleo husband eats unsweetened coconut straight out of the bag, so I figured he would love it, and does he ever! He eats it dry like a trail mix or snack mix. I love it stirred into yogurt or slow-cook oats. So glad to have it around.
Love this! A woman I work with was talking about Muesli so I thought I'd give it a try. I've never been disappointed in Bobs so went with this brand - I love it! You can eat hot or cold (I like cold) and they have just a hint of sweetness from the dried fruit. Also, its something I can whip together in the morning super fast! This product is now a staple in our home! Next to try... steel cut oats!
Ok...let me start out by saying that I LOVE Bob's Red Mill products, especially the Fruit & Seed Muesli and the Ground Flax Seed. The reason I only gave this a 3 star is because of PERSONAL PREFERENCE! When I bought it, I failed to read the ingredients thoroughly and assumed it would be like the Fruit & Seed, just with added coconut and pineapple. It was NOT. It is mostly coconut flakes, which my husband and I like, but just not to that extreme....LOL My bad for not reading the ingredients before buying.
The bag I received was almost all coconut flakes, very little nuts/seeds and scant fruit pieces. Too expensive just for coconut flakes. Never buying this again. Sticking to original muesli.
If you're looking for a big bowl of coconut flakes, this is the cereal for you. I felt like I wasted my money paying for overpriced flaked coconut with a handful of nuts and dried fruit thrown in. Three months later the bag is about seven eighths uneaten and I don't see that changing. Dry, chewy, unpalatable.
Don't bother with this paleo version. Cereal is not grain free, that's the first hint that something is wrong here. The second is that it's more expensive than 10k gold per ounce. This is basically high end trail mix. Get trail mix if you want trail mix. If you want muesli buy the regular muesli for an eighth of the price. If you like this trail mix but not the cost, buy some trail mix and add macadamia nuts.
