Bob's Red Mill Whole Grain Teff, 24 oz

We have been trying different recipes to make gluten free breads. This flour helps the bread be less dense and more fluffy!

A wonderful mineral-rich African grain, easy to digest, I include it in my morning porridge. The flavour is hearty, a bit nutty, a great taste.

Product is good. I like Bobs red mill and enjoy teff grain. Problem with description. Says case of 4. You receive only one package not four. Misleading ad.

This grain is as beautiful as any I have procured from Bob's Red Mill- very tiny amber smooth appearing. I usually add it to my sourdough wheat bread dough and it lends such a nutty flavor and texture to the loaves, but additionally, I cook it in water (like cereal) and serve it as a side or a morning hot cereal. It is delicious and packed with goodness. Thank you for this opportunity and for all you do, especially in 2020!

I ground the grains into flour. Mixed 1 cup of flour with a scant cup of filtered water. Ignored it for 3 days (alright, I peeked at it a few times). Poured the water off and mixed in 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 T dried onions Poured into a 10", preheated pan (between medium and medium high) lightly covered with olive oil. Cooked it until all but the center looked done and bubbly. Let it get a bit crunching. Then flipped over for maybe 2 minutes. It made 3 pancakes. I ate the first two before the 3rd was done. Need I say it was YUM! Tangy yet somewhat earthy? As soon as I finished, I started a new batch. Perhaps this time it will last long enough to put some lentils or rice on them?

I follow Bob's on Instagram and saw their IG video on this product. I read up on it and it's packed with goodness for my body so YEAHHHH - I had to buy!! I add this to my morning brown rice farina (from BOB'S!!). I am a huge iron skillet user and that's how I make my cereal. The Teff mixes in easily and adds to the nice consistency of my hot cereal. I know you can use to make many stews, etc., maybe one day I'll try those but for now - LOVING it in my farina for breakfast! This is a must try for everyone ... for real!!

I love Teff, though I didn't realize it until I took a chance on it through Bob's Red Mill. It's the basis for an Ethiopian bread we loved at an Ethiopian Restaurant we used to go to. Now I'm planning to order more of the grain and add an order of the flour.

It was so full of sandy grit it was not edible

I bought this to make injera. Unfortunately it can't be used for that since it's too small to be ground using equipment that the typical cook would have at home, to the point that I can't even understand the purpose in selling it. At the very least the packaging should have warned about this, or at least tried to offer alternative ideas for its use rather than porridge.
