Bodum 13.5 oz Electric Milk Frother, Black

I bought this for my husband, he's at the academy and it's been a life saver for him. They dont have microwaves in their dorms, so this gets the job done perfectly. he's been using it for 6 months, and so far, he has no trouble at all. easy to clean, easy to set up.

Got this as a gift for my father and he absolutely loves it. He says it's perfect so if you're looking for a froth or whether it's for coffee or if it's for hot chocolate anything it'll definitely do the job.

It's works pretty good. The only complaint I have is that the lid doesn't seal properly while foaming the milk. It keeps wanting to open on one side so I have to place my hand on top it. Otherwise it does the job. My grandson say once the milk is foam it tastes like marshmallows.

So In our house we really enjoy hot beverages such as coffee and hot cocoa. So I thought this would be a nice addition to our collection. At first I had a little trouble with this particular device because it needed to be sitting on the stand at a specific location to work properly, but then as I got the hang of it, it has been an item I use daily for our family. I also bought the two year protection plan and I clean it daily with dish soap the spinner in the center is easy to remove and wash as well. I believe you will enjoy it.

The reason why I gave it 3 stars is that it requires cleaning after every use, the heater element is concentrated in one small area and it normally burns the milk. In my case I drink 3 cups of coffee and I had to wash the unit after every single use. Bodum, you can do better!!!

I previously was using the Nespresso frother but didn't want to spend that much for a new frother. It does froth well, sometimes too much but I've learned to stop it before it finishes it cycle. It does shut off when done but unlike Nespresso, once you put it back into the base, it turns back on. The Nespresso just turns off as it one button and Bodum is a click to the left or right for on/off. If I wanted to warm the milk and not to make froth, it tends to burn the milk and this requires more attention when cleaning it. If you have big hand, you may appreciate being able to get into it unlike the narrow Nespresso. Overall, a decent product but need some extra attention.

Yes, I was very disappointed. I thought the froth would be so nice and rich and creamy. Unfortunately, there were a few bubbles on top but most of it was still in a hot liquid form. I appreciate that it was hot for sure, but using half-and-half with a little bit of heavy cream, I thought would produce a much better froth. I'm returning it although it's very possible that it's not able to handle heavy cream. So it might be fine if you're using just straight milk. Also the cord at the bottom was off it's placement for the little notch, so it sat crooked on my counter.

So, it says it's a "milk frother" but it should really be called a "milk heater". There is NO way to turn off the heat. Basically, this thing froths your milk ONLY until the heat gets to a certain temp then shuts OFF. There is no way to froth more if the milk is still liquid because it senses the temp and won't turn back on! I tried it twice-- once with whole milk and once with heavy whipping cream. Both times I got a little bit of froth and mostly liquid. And, the milk was already scalding at the bottom. Forget about using this for iced coffee.

I purchased the equivalent of this frother (same brand) from target in 2020 and determined that it was time for a replacement because the whisk had gone out. This one is way cuter and maybe $5 less so merry early Christmas I thought… It's going back This thing has only worked maybe three times since I took it out of the box. I don't know if it's the whisk or the motor or what but it doesn't work. The three times that it did; the top wouldn't stay on while it frothed. The other one was sooooo good for so long that I am devastated by this.

It only worked once and the foam wasn't right then either. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it 2 more times. It made no foam period. I returned it.
