For the price, this thing is a spectacular waste of money, like lighting cash on fire but without the warmth. I will not be purchasing this advent calendar again, or anything else this company produces, unless they start including actual Christmas miracles behind the tiny doors. I'm only on Day 11, and so far I've collected enough hotel-sized lotions and shower gels to open my own questionable roadside motel. Today's “surprise” was Beard Oil, which would be great if I weren't afraid to put anything from this calendar anywhere near my face. I also received a handful of bath salts, nothing says “relaxation” like staring at a mystery powder and wondering if I'll come out of the tub with skin or without it. If this were $50, I'd still think I overpaid and probably need to rethink my life choices. Why is it so hard to make a decent advent calendar for Boys to Men (the demographic, not the band though honestly, I'd take a Boyz II Men–themed calendar at this point)? I bought my wife and daughter lovely calendars for the same price, and they're thrilled. I bought my son this one, took one look, and immediately bought him a different one because I knew he'd hate it. Which leaves me as the family disappointment because apparently I gifted myself this disaster. Honestly, I would've rather received nothing which is exactly what I would have had if I'd bought him the nicer one in the first place.
