I am so glad I found this Yogurt Ranch Dressing from Bolthouse Farms!!! I mainly use this very sparingly as salad dressing on my baby spinach salad with feta. It's also a great dip because it's so thick and rich for carrots, celery, tomato, cucumber etc!!!!
The only lower-fat, healthier ranch dressing we'll use. No creepy artificial flavors or sugars, and it tastes very good. The yogurt itself is what makes this dressing lower fat, and it also provides a bit of calcium, too. Although I would never say this tastes 'exactly' like a thick, sumptuous steakhouse-style ranch dressing, it is nonetheless delicious %26 satisfying. The texture is a bit runny, but Bolthouse does a good job keeping it thick enough that it can be used as either a dressing or a dip. Add cracked black pepper, scallions, or parmesan flakes and you have a top-quality presentation. Always fridge this dressing--it's a yogurt base. :) A few of the many excellent foods to use it with include: --Salads, especially garden or Cobb --Veggies, for dip --Sauce for a chicken bacon ranch pita sandwich, for instance, or other 'sandwiches' --Add as a bottom layer of sauce before laying protein down on individual plates, (e.g., using a streak of ranch sauce and then placing chicken tenders, pork tenderloin, etc.)
I'm not exactly over the moon like this is the best ranch ever, but if your indulgent like me with sauces this alternative is perfect. It may not have the same richness as regular made ranch but this definitely satisfies my ranch craving and I think that is what matters. A ranchy yogurt dill.
i have been looking for a lower calorie / low fat alternative to normal ranch. I 💯 recommend trying this. taste amazing. I was skeptical dur to the reviews but im so glad I tried it for myslef. Honestly doesnt taste that different just not as thick as normal. Tryit!!!!
Recently we had to change some of the things we were eating for health reasons. Surprisingly enough I've been eating right when it came to my dressing because this is the only one I will ever eat, and it is one of my favorites. This is the lowest calories lowest carb dressing on the market and it is on of the healthiest for you. A lot of people will say that balsamic is probably the healthiest for you and it might be. I just don't like balsamic. We love it for dipping and salad dressings as well. You can dip almost anything in ranch dressing. You can cook your chicken and add this as a topping afterwards and it's amazing. Due to it having to be refrigerated it is a little bit more difficult to travel with, but we make it work. The healthiest snack we eat each day is 1 cup of broccoli with a couple tablespoons of Bolthouse Farms Ranch dressing. Enjoy and stay healthy! The Woodruff's
I absolutely loved this yogurt based salad dressing! It was creamy, fresh, and full of flavor without being too heavy. It felt like a healthier option but didn't sacrifice taste at all. I will definitely be buying this again!
When i started buying this healthy and great-tasting ranch a few years ago, It had only 30 calories per serving. “Oil” was not an ingredient. **Now, the calories have almost doubled and soybean oil is a major ingredient!** The flavor has more of a sharp, chemical taste. I've weaned myself off of Ranch, all ranch. Sadly, it's still the healthiest by far. If you've gotta have Ranch, may as well try this one.
DO NOT BUY. Normally I like Bolthouse Farms foods, so I bought this because it was the only yogurt dressing I could find on the site, and I needed it for a Greek salad. I tried it twice, and both times had the worst diarrhea I'd gotten from any food I'd ever eaten in recent memory, even during the couple of times over the last 10 years when I got food poisoning. It may just be something my specific body is sensitive to that nobody else would notice, but I need to warn people on the basis of my experience. I wound up throwing the stuff out when it gave me the same reaction more than once, so buyer beware on this one.
My favorite dressing, but I ordered two today and both came expired! The people that stocked the shelves have to be more careful and the shoppers! I clearly added a description to the shop to check expiration day carefully, and obviously that was not done!
The formula has changed and just tastes , well, basically nasty. This has been my go to for years for excellent flavor which was why I was willing to pay a bit more, but I mind as well have gotten a generic brand.
