You do need the light to go with this refill. Already having the starter set, this is a good value. There's no need to keep buying the whole set. All you need to do is get the refill. This stuff holds like no other. It's easy to use and works fast. We use this on everything that needs to be stuck. Super strength, it's holding together my car dash.

Very nice refill if you already have the set with the light source. In general, this is a superb product IF YOU KNOW WHAT IT CAN DO AND WHAT IT CAN'T. We are using it for mounting something and then layer by layer building up material. Needs to be exposed to the UV light, if you are glueing pieces together and the glue can't be exposed to light to cure this isn't working.

Purchased Bondic to fix a couple of things, not expecting much. It really works!

I bought it to try on some my old 1981 motorcycle plastic that had been broke and cracked over the years and this product is worth every penny. I would recommend to anyone thay I'd a do it yourselfer

I've used the Bondic pen for fly tying and for that it's great! I'm not sure about other applications. The refill cartridge was a single one and expensive through the reseller. I could buy a whole new assembly new for the price of the refill. It's not going to work to glue things together. Every now and then a try to do a repair with this and it sadly lets me down.
