I ordered this product through direct store delivery. I was a little worried at first that the quality of the plant might be less than I expected, however, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite the soil being dry, the plant was strong and robust. I transplanted it into half of a whiskey barrel filled with Miracle-Grow organic soil for raised beds. I followed the planting instructions and buried the plant up to its first set of leaves. Made sure that the plant was watered thoroughly and it pretty much has took care of itself. Since then all I have to do is add a little water. It has been one week and it has grown a half an inch and I can see a bloom getting ready to open. This is the Better Boy variety, which is supposed to produce an unlimited amount of tomatoes. This is a great way to get a headstart on the growing season. While others are still babying thin little plants, I found that a slightly larger investment on this plant that already has established good growth is a great trade-off. This is a great plant for a container as long as your container is large enough. I used one and 3/4 of a bag of soil to this one tomato plant. Just in case you're trying this for the first time. So make sure you get two bags of soil. At the end of your growing season, leave one tomato down in that dirt and it will sprout a new plant come next spring and you will be off to a great start again! My price compared before I made this purchase, Walmart offered the plant at the best price as well as the dirt and the container! Happy gardening!

Arrived healthy and are growing nicely. Delivered from the store the same day which makes a difference
The delivery was not good. It was left in the mailbox when the temperature was in the high 80's and I wasn't able to get to it until later. It was wilted.
