Fantastic Family Game

AmyinSacto December 29, 2009

We really loved the original Boom Blox game (my husband and I are adults age 33), I'm not normally much of a gamer, but this is fun for all ages, my younger sisters love it, and my mother loves it. Great game for females especially I think because it allows different skills, including throwing balls and bombs to knock structures down (great agression release), puzzles, jenga like pulling apart structures to earn points, and you can play individuallly, competitively, and co-op with another player. Great all the way around, one of my new favorites along with the original Boom Blox and Carnival.

A great game

I tried the original Boom Blox and liked it so well that I had to get this one. It's a great "puzzle" type game which is probably my favorite. In Boom Blox Bash Party there are different choices of games - you can throw balls at stacks of blocks to try to knock them over, you can make bombs explode to knock the blocks over, there is a shooting gallery type of game, and there is one that is like a Jenga game where you try to remove blocks from stacks without knocking them over. I don't like the shooting gallery game - I'm not good at it, but my son does well. So that's just me. But the others were really fun and very realistic as far as how the blocks fall. There are 3 different modes - the single player, the multi-player (2-4 players), and the create mode. The single and multi-player modes are really fun. In the create mode you can create your own puzzles to use in either the single or multiplayer modes. I haven't tried the create mode yet. There is a way to download other people's creations, and I haven't done that yet, either. In the first Boom Blox you had to pass certain levels to be able to go on to the next locked activity. The Boom Blox Bash Party gives you the option to purchase the next locked activity with credits that you accumulate by playing the games. So if you just can't get through a particular level, you aren't stuck. I highly recommend this game and would buy it again.

Awesome!

We had rented the original Boom Blox game and had loads of fun with it. Our 3 year old even got into playing it. We ordered this one for my husbands birthday and we pretty much play it every night. It's a blast to play!!!
