Boost Max Vanilla flavor is best compared to other protein/nutritional ready to drink beverages. Nutritionist suggested these types of drinks while waiting on liver transplant list. Need 90 grams of protein a day plus all the other nutrients without a lot of fats
This is my husband's go-to drink in the morning and it's not that easy to find in stores. Walmart's price, while not cheap and has increased along with everything else in the current climate we're living in, has the best price for these and the shipping was super fast. Very happy with the availability.
Much better than Boost e with less Protein. I've been using another Max product that is more watery then Boost plus Boost is thicker and smoother. I mix them with coffee in morning as I wasn't fond of the taste but I could drink Boost without adding it to coffee or orange juice as I need the Protein but less sugar that affects my blood sugar that has always been low> However staying home I've had to order most everything and I ordered a little too much candy and my blood sugar leave shot up and isn't going back to what has been normal all of my life. but I'll keep trying. I always buy the vanilla.
I bought the Boost Max 30gram protein shake to try. Had tried other brands and they all left a funny, medicinal taste in my mouth with the shake versions. VERY VANILLA Boost Max 30mg Protein it THE BEST EVER. No funny aftertaste, tastes llike I am cheating on my diet but only 160 calories per bottle !! The Chocolate shake flavor is really awesome too and no funny atertaste either and STILL ONLY 160 calories. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone. I have COPD and cannot eat as well balanced as previously. I knew I was not getting proper nutrition. The Boost Max 30g Protein shake has roughly 1/2 the daily requirements of essential vitamins and minerals. After about 4 days of 1 shake per day at breakfast time I could honestly say I started feeling better. Now, after over a month - I have more energy, am sleeping better, my skin feels better and my hair is not falling out as badly as previously. NOW - Just get this product into more stores locally !!!! Have not found at a local store within 30 mimles of where I live so I have to order on-line every couple of weeks.
I do like Boost Max Men. The problem is, the bottles of "very vanilla" I have consumed (which is a lot), contain "solids" on the bottom of the bottle. I do shake the bottle vigorously before opening, but the solids remain. The solids can hardly pass through a straw. A strainer may help to catch the solids. I do find the drink very tasty.
I purchased Boost Max for my significant other and his review is that it is too lumpy, he thought it was spoiled due to built up curdle, regardless how much he shook the boost, the curdle did not dissipate, and he stated when he did manage to drink majority there was curdle at the bottom that concerned him; therefore, we will be returning the product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked it did not love it. Creamy texture yes, but I felt like there was an aftertaste I couldn't get past. The packaging makes it easy to throw in your bag and I love that it's 30 grams of protein.
There are several different levels of Boost depending on the level of protein. I loved the regular boost but wanted more protein. The Max has a lot of protein but no sugar to sweeten it like the other levels of Boost does. The Max tastes terrible. Took one drink and put it down. I am thinking of maybe adding chocolate syrup to to see if that would make it palitable.
I've been drinking regular boost in 8-ounce bottles. The liquid is fairly thick and I have to add milk to thin it out. As usual, Walmart was out of my regular, they never seem to order the things that sell well, but instead, order the stuff that sits on the shelf for ages with no one buying it. I don't know who their purchasing manager is, but he/she is clearly out in left field as far as what sells and what doesn't. Anyway, they were out of my regular boost, so this one was new and it says quite clearly on the box, Thick Shake, Rich Chocolate. Well, my old boost was labeled Rich Chocolate Drink. I don't know about all of you, but when I hear shake when talking about liquid, I'm thinking Shake as in thick, not as in moving your body parts to shake the drink. I usually get the case that has 12 in it for about $27.00. I'm thinking this drink is gonna be even thicker and it's 4 extra ounces, 12 instead of 8 and I'll buy $27.00 of the stuff or 2 cases, well right off the mark, they bill me for 3 cases, and deliver 3 cases, so another screw up there. What gets me is I refrigerate it and turn off the lid, peel back the foil and start drinking. Well, this stuff tastes like a thin chocolate-flavored Maloxx, I about gagged. It's supposed to be rich chocolate, but it's not. It's not thick, even adding milk to this isn't gonna help. I'd have to add chocolate milk to it and that's sort of defeating the purpose. And like all medicine, I drank it down... it's supposed to have all these minerals and 30 grams of protein. Well, about an hour late I started not feeling well, went to the bathroom, sort of got that out of my system, and think well maybe it's something I ate last night. I was feeling hungry so I opened up another bottle (hindsight is great) and an hour later and then another hour I'm back in the bathroom again. Bottom line, you want to spend your time in a bathroom, you want to drink stuff that tastes like chocolate Maloxx, go ahead and buy this stuff. For me, I'm waiting till the purchasing manager gets a brainstorm and orders my regular Chocolate Boost or maybe check out Target or maybe pay the high prices of a grocery store... Or maybe just eat a few tablespoons of Peanut butter.
Love the product...but...it had to be shipped separately from my order and I was charged a shipping fee that wouldn't have occurred otherwise. I should have been notified about the fee, but I wasn't.
