[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a month of regular use, I have had no disappointments. All dishes come out spotless and dry! I can even put plastic on the bottom rack. The WiFi communication lets me know when the rinse aid needs to be refilled. Thanks to Consumer Reports for pointing me in the right direction to Bosch Dishwashers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am delighted by how much quieter this dishwasher is than my previous one. I am also impressed by how much more efficiently it uses space; I can go an extra couple of days between wash cycles compared to my old dishwasher.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced 20 year old Bosch dishwasher when it started to show signs of age. Lost small water valve and while waiting for part ordered new model. In hindsight probably didn't need it but like me it was getting old and cranky anyway. New one with Wi-Fi and modern electronics works perfectly once we got used to settings. Like top mounted cutlery tray. Have had Bosch and Miele in a number different homes and both seem reliable and trouble free. Installation is key.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I heard that Bosch was the quietest dishwasher, but never could have imagined how quiet. Yet it's so powerful that we never pre-rinse the dishes or utensils and they come out spotless every time! I was leary of putting the utensils in the third rack, but they also come out sparkling, and I've found them easier to unload this way too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great dishwasher choice. Quiet, efficient and dishes always clean. Love that there is no heating element and dishes dry through steam so you can put plastic in dishwasher. So glad we bought the 800 series.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an older Bosch Dishwasher and didn't expect much of a difference but this new one is amazing! Super clean job and it's controllable through the Bosch app! An upgrade that's totally worth it!
I love the Bosch 800 series dishwashers because they are so quiet and versitile. However, I am very dissapointed that some cycles/features are only available with an app. Everything should be accessible from the dishwasher itself, like the older models. I'm also concerned about longevity, as my older 800 Series dishwasher (11.5 years) leaked causing significant damages to dry wall and cabinets, depite having the Aqua Stop Sensor and having done proper maintenance. I hope that the Aqua Stop Sensor is better in the newer models, and will alert to water leakage in a more timely manner. Time will tell...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old Bosch dishwasher died after 10 years when a water leak sensor kept going off. Replaced it with the same model. They updated the control panel and added some additional features for organizing dishes and silverware. I still dislike the wine glass holders on the right side of the middle rack. We don't use them and they get in the way of my large drinking glasses fitting in that row. It seems to be even quieter than the prior model.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this Bosch 800 Series dishwasher again after my previous one of the same model (SHX78CM6N) stopped working after about 2 years. Despite that failure, I still think it's a great unit because it fits my needs well — and so far this newer one feels better built. Here's how it performs based on my experience and broader customer feedback: ⸻ 👍 What Works Really Well ✔ Excellent Interior Layout & Capacity • I like the interior height of shelves and overall rack layout — tall items and larger dishes fit easily. ✔ Quiet Operation & Cleaning Performance • Bosch 800 Series models are frequently praised for quiet operation (~42 dB) and effective cleaning even with tough residue. Many owners report dishes come out spotless and very dry thanks to features like PrecisionWash and CrystalDry technology. ✔ Stainless-Steel Tub + Racks That Glide Well • The stainless steel interior stays looking good and is durable. Racks generally glide smoothly, which makes loading/unloading a lot easier — something I especially appreciate. ✔ Responsive Touch Controls (Improved) • Compared to my old one, this unit's touch panel seems more responsive and reliable. ✔ Efficiency & Water Saving • Bosch dishwashers are designed for energy and water efficiency, so you get good wash performance without excessive utility use
Beware the CrystalDry “Feature” and Bosch's Refusal to Stand Behind It I purchased this $1,400+ Bosch 800 Series dishwasher in 2022 specifically for its vaunted CrystalDry technology that promised “the ultimate dry – even on plastics.” Three years of light-to-moderate use later, the machine began throwing an E07 error code. The flat plastic spray arm water supply tube (part 00628334 / 11018097) had multiple cracks and a hole exactly where it is blasted by hot steam from the zeolite drying system. The plastic literally became brittle and shattered under the repeated heat cycles that Bosch itself engineered into the machine. This is not isolated bad luck; it is an extremely well-documented design flaw across the entire CrystalDry lineup. Bosch quietly fixed the problem in later production runs by adding a molded heat shield around the tube, yet they refuse to acknowledge the earlier versions were defective. I contacted Bosch Customer Care with photos and a polite explanation of the known issue. Their response? ” NO RESPONSE. No goodwill part, no discounted replacement. For a company that markets “German engineering” and “lifetime stainless tub” warranties, refusing to address an obvious material incompatibility between their own drying system and a critical $40 plastic tube is indefensible. The dishwasher now sits unusable while I shop for a new dishwasher, and I will never purchase anything Bosch going forward. Save yourself the headache: if you want CrystalDry-level drying without the self-destructing plumbing, look at Miele or even KitchenAid's comparable models. Bosch's premium price does not buy premium support when their design flaws surface. Extremely disappointed.
