Switched from an old subzero to the bosch. Cannot believe we didnt make the switch sooner! We researched several refrigerators for a long time and settled on this Bosch. No issues and would recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design is perfect inside and out. Lots of interior room in both refrigerator and freezer. Even the stainless steel finish on exterior is superior to anything we shopped for. Seems like they thought of everything when it comes to interior space. Especially considering this is a counter depth fridge, it is amazing how all compartments and bins are so roomy. I have owned it for about six weeks now and I'm so surprised at how quietly it runs. I actually had to stand right next to it to make sure it was running and it was still hard to tell. Our last refrigerator made so much noise. Super impressed and YES I would recommend it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just got this fridge delivered, replacing a 2 year old whirlpool that was awful. I love eveyrthing about this fridge, except the internal water dispenser. It has been steadily dripping water since it's initial use. I'll open the fridge to a puddle of water under the drawer. I hope this is an easy fix because I genuinely love this fridge. If the water dispenser is an easy fix, this is easily a 5 star appliance. Other reviewers mentioned the produce drawers don't open all the way. They do. It feels like they have a catch half way, but they do fully open.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ice maker makes plenty of ice and the ice bin is huge, I only wish that their would have been a bypass for the water filter. I have R/O plumbed to my fridge so I do not need to use a filter in the refrigerator. The water dispenser is very slow, I choose to use my faucet instead because of this.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have only had refrigerator for a couple of months but am most impressed with the ice maker. Our previous Jenn-Air barely made a ziplock bag. The icemaker is a bit noisy, but is a constant source of ice supply. Easy access to the water dispenser is a plus. Having the water and ice on the inside leaves a clean appearance on the doors. We are not impressed by the way the drawers have to be worked to be removed and put back in. This is a definite CON. Overall we are pleased with the unit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like the refrigerator except for the interior water dispenser. It continues to drip and leak after use. We had to stop using it. The appliance repair person has been out twice for that and it's only a month old. After the second visit where a valve was replaced and it didn't fix it, we learned that it's a known issue to Bosch and a fix is being worked on. We'll see what happens
We purchased this refrigerator in August and have had 3 service calls. The first call was for an alarm that was caused by ice getting behind the door of the freezer (fixed) and the other two have been because the fridge makes an insanely loud "whistle/scream" that sounds terrible. The tech keeps saying that's part of the design. We have adored Bosch products because of the quiet nature and quality but this is sound is not normal or practical for someone's home. If we could return it, we would.
It's an expensive lesson to learn: When you go to apply a note or magnet to the door, you will possibly compromise the surface. They apply a fingerprint 'protection' coat to prevent them, but my experience shows it will not accept anything applied to it. Further, suggested attempts at removal of any marks will remove the coating.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this model in May 2020. January 2021 rolls around and my ice maker fails after only 6-months of ownership. This does not bode well for longer term reliability. I call Bosch hoping to get some help diagnosing the problem and scheduling warranty service. I spend 45+ minutes on hold before being walked through the simple steps mentioned in the manual. Such as removing the ice scoop (already done), and if my water dispenser is working (it is). In this case the bin is completely clean, dry and looks like new but no ice for over a week. Ok warranty service to schedule, but turns out the factory service techs are booked 3-months out to late March. This is half the time I've owned the product to schedule a repair! I'm given the option of contacting a local repair technician, and given 4 options. Two of the options are over 100 miles from me so not very local. Of the remaining two on contacting them one doesn't service appliances they haven't sold themselves. This unit also includes a FreshProtect ethylene filter and water filters. Good luck replacing the fresh protect filter because finding a replacement pack seems to be impossible. It's not listed with the accesories. The water filter is also hard to replace because even Bosch seems to barely stock the filters. They didn't even have a way to purchase them until last month. There is also a AirFresh® Filter but there is NO information on how you replace this, if replacements exist, and where it is. I'm not sure this even has an air filter since the manual makes no mention of it. Overall the reliability of this unit is questionable, and Bosch does not have a robust repair network for when somethong goes wrong. I'd suggest getting the extended warranty, but given the poor repair options you're probably better off staying clear of this model. Next time I'm buying Whirlpool, at least when something goes wrong you can find information about the unit. You can also easily find accessories, parts, and troubleshooting information for them. I will say the Bosch is pretty, and my magnets stick to it so one star for that.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently purchased a Bosch 800 Series refrigerator from Ferguson (Builders Appliance Center) in Denver, CO. It replaced a 20-year-old Kitchenaid. We needed another "portable" refrigerator that we could roll in and out of a wall location to gain access to our furnace located behind the refrigerator. We typically roll our refrigerator out twice a year to replace the air filters in our furnace and had had no problem over the years with our old Kitchnaid in damaging our kitchen hardwood (cherry) floor. You can imagine our shock and disappointment when, on the first time rolling our new Bosch refrigerator into place, we damaged our beautiful hardwood floors. I immediately contacted BAC but they acted like ("Gee, that's too bad!!). And then our ice maker broke and BAC sent out a repair person to replace the ice maker and the rollers, but advised us that the new rollers were no different from the old ones and it was a waste of time to replace them! Upon closer examination of the rollers they all have a "ridge" along the centerline and are all made of hard plastic with no "cushion" capability to protect floors. And, after reading the installation instructions, there are no warnings that the rollers WILL damage hardwood floors!! It would have been nice had there been a warning and recommendation to place a protective pad under the refrigerator before trying to roll it in place!!! Right now I'm beside myself as I have a damaged floor and apparently no recourse to get it repaired by either BAC or Bosch. I also am not sure just how to best protect our floor, once re-finished, from having this happen again. And, by the way, when the appliance repair person came out to replace our ice maker, the new unit was also broken and so we have to go through all of this with the ice maker again! So much for your quality control on replacement parts!!
