I bought this to replace my worm gear saw, I may be getting older and the worm saw was for sure getting heavier. The CS10 saw is just as powerful and a lot lighter. No way to see any difference in the reconditioned versus a new saw. Everything is replaced to appear brand new, and it performs as new. Excellent saw.
Having many other Bosch 18V tools I wanted to complete my set with this circular saw. My first job was in the attic where it would have been difficult to get power - no problem with this joyful battery saw. It has worked well - it would be nice to have a little spotlight on the cutting edge like many of my other bosch tools - but it works great and is easy to use.
I highly recommend this saw. My 40 year old saw had bit the dust and I had big project coming up. I had done some research and this was one of the most highly rated, plus it had a great price! CPO makes the buying process straight-forward and easy. The saw got to me in 2 days just in time for my project. I really like the thicker base which makes it easy to use a framing square to zip through straight cuts.
This is a great value for the money. I have been switching to Bosch for all of my power tools due to the exacting craftsmanship, reliability and ease of use. I have had two other saws which were heavy and had tricky triggers. This is easy to use and keeps on going even through all day use (building a large shed). Is is reasonably weighted and very accurate to the cut line.
Despite having a few scuff marks at the bottom of the shoe, you can fool anyone to thinking it was a brand new saw. It works great out of the box and has no damage, internal or external. Mine came with the blade wrench, carry bag, and an extra saw blade. CPO Reconditioned tools are my go to now for a cheaper and more reliable alternative than buying brand new.
So far so good! Happy with it. One thing i've noticed is that this model neither others and different brands doesn't bring the trigger splint that lets you turn on for long period. Particularly i needed this option since i'm doing home made table saw. I' ll need to implement some trick for this...
Nice tool for a good price. One of the things I'd like to see on this saw, or any circular saw by ANY manufacturer, would be a set of scribe marks, or something on the base, that indicate where the blade is relative to the base. This saw has a notch in the base that gives you an idea of where the blade will run, but there is no indication of which side of the blade is represented by which side of the notch. That's why 4 stars instead of 5.
An " okay" saw but the adjustment levers are mostly plastic. The first time I used it they fell off and after I complained they sent me replacement parts but that didn't really fix the issue. There are better tools to buy even though the price was low.
I am always leery about buying refurbished stuff but I took a chance.... The saw overall (with the exception of the lever to adjust the depth of cut) is good and durable. The problem is that the lever to adjust the depth of cut is Plastic and has a cheap plastic cap and spring behind it. Very first use Adjusted depth and the cap popped off and shot across the room along with the spring. Pretty cheap/crappy design. Not sure if I can get a replacement piece or am I stuck relying on good ole duck tape to keep the lever in place?!?!
I think this is a good saw EXCEPT there's a design flaw or something. The saw flexes when you push on it. The single bracket holding the base to the motor, the one that is adjustable to set the angle, is not adequate to hold the angle. The saw flexes and the angle can change by a few degrees. Returning this to store. Disappointing.
