Best Dishwasher I've Ever Had!

Dawndow October 25, 2013

I absolutely love my dishwasher. There are several features I love, and the two most notable for us are the flat front and the noise control. Our kitchen is tiny, and we were able to use a side cabinet drawer for the first time once the unit was installed! I love that it is so quiet when running also. It's perfect since the house is so tiny. We are able to put it on anytime (before - with our old dishwasher- we only used it at nighttime when we were going off to bed because it was noisy). Aside from those two features, we love the wine glass racks, the removable racks (awesome) and the sanitizing features. It's just perfect for every type of pot, pan, athletic water bottle (that need extra heat to clean) or even a crock pot. Thanks for making a great product. We are thrilled to own this dishwasher.

The quietest Dishwasher I never heard

Julian July 18, 2012

This is a super quiet, super efficient dishwasher. Unlike other manufacturers Bosch has not sent me multiple letters to get me to buy an extended warranty. Bosch builds a great dishwasher. I've only got one negative item, the lettering on the control panel is coming off, I have never used abrasives on it and only wipe it down with a damp rag. The dishwasher does not have a drying element, but the dishes come out as dry as with any unit I've ever owned.

Great replacement option

Anonymous July 18, 2012

We were looking for a replacement dishwasher for a GE profile. We needed one that had a recessed handle. After looking at a lot of offerings. We narrowed it down to a few. It was the noise reduction that sold us on the Bosch. I was not sure it would all that quiet as it is next to our family room and the wall is out in the open and it spereates the two areas. I installed the unit, which was fairly easy) I loved the rear leveling divice. It made a huge difference in getting everything aligned. Once installed, we took it for a test drive (ran a short cycle). It did not sound all that quiet to me standing right in front of the unit. I went off to clean up some tools. As I was returing to kitchen, I thought the cycle was over asI did not hear the unit running. I indicated that tomy wife and she said it was still running. I thought no way, but it was still going and it was a big difference from the unit we had just replaced. It has continued to be very quiet and does a great job on washing the dishes even on the econo run.

Best dishwasher ever!

Stressed July 17, 2012

I use this dishwasher almost everyday and it cleans dishes spotless along with finish tablets. It cleans better than my previous more expensive different brand dishwasher it replaced. The only downside would be the interior size for anyone with large families, but for my husband and I it's great! Upper rack adjusts for loading cookie sheets on bottom rack. It is so quiet you don't hardly know its running, I've even opened the door to make sure it has started! It being quiet is important as my kitchen and livingroom are open and we had a hard time hearing our tv with the old dishwasher which was 10 years old. I love this machine!

Great, except no quick rinse cycle

Janice July 1, 2012

The one major gripe I have that I wish I had realized before I bought, there is no quick rinse. I usually run dishwasher every other day so I would have liked the ability to quickly rinse items that are going to sit in washer. My old dishwasher had this cycle which ran for about 8 minutes and I used it all the time. I assumed this was on all dishwashers so I was quite annoyed to not have this feature. Other than that it's incredibly quiet and runs well.

Won't buy any other dishwasher

BobbyB February 14, 2013

Replaced a 7 year old Bosch SHU model PROS- Generally very quiet Features Highly rated by Consumers Reports Appearance Soap use efficiency Unbelievably simple undercarriage Easy to install Cleans very well (some rinsing is advised) Lots of interior space (don't overcrowd, though) Cutlery basket configuration flexibility Price CONS- Does not automatically power off at end of cycle Some disconcerting splashing sounds during rinse that sounded like a leak Control panel not as intuitive as it could be Unable to remove top tray and wash large items (prior model could) Bottom of interior cabinet is plastic (entire cabinet was stainless in SHU model)

Absolutely satisfied with our Bosch!!

FussyCleaner October 8, 2013

We've owned our Bosch d/w for approximately two months now and overall we are very happy with it. It's a very contemporary and stylish looking appliance. Installing the Bosch was relatively simple thanks to thorough installation instructions. We run a cycle 1 to 2 times per week. The performance is excellent. Dishes come out squeaky clean each time. The adjustable settings are great for different loads and types of dishes, as well as the pre-set timer. Great for us here, as electricity rates fluctuate throughout the day. We are amazed at how quietly it operates. Our neighbors couldn't believe how quiet it is, and were blown away when we turned it on for them to listen. They recently purchased a new dishwasher as well ( a competitor's brand) mainly because of the proclaimed "quiet operation" of the unit. They have been hugely disappointed with their purchase because, as my friend put it, "it sounds like it runs on diesel fuel". They can hear it upstairs on their second floor. Hearing them complain about the competition only helped to reinforce our decision to go with the Bosch. They only complaint I have is that the top rack spindles are a little too close together. Our drinking mugs and glasses are a tight fit to go between the rack fingers. There is one row of fingers that can be folded down which does help. Overall we are very happy with our purchase and would easily recommend a Bosch dishwasher purchase to others.

Best Dishwasher Yet

EverybodysMaid January 1, 2013

Use this dishwasher daily, sometimes twice - washes great, super quiet - love it! The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that you have to power it off - doesn't shut off by itself which seems like a waste of energy. If you are not home for several hours or if programmed to run after bed time, the machine remains on until you shut if off the next day. Because I've only had this dishwasher for a little over a week my current overall opinion - a great dishwasher for the price. Glasses are sparkling, baked on dishes come out clean and we have hard water. If it continues to perform as well a year or two down the road, then my purchase has been extremely satisfactory.

ok, not spectacular

me2 October 23, 2013

The dishwasher cleans nicely but for the price, it has some issues I did not expect. The manual on/off button and start button seem really cheap. The bottom rack slides off the rail easily and the wheels pop off easily. Also, I find the layout of both racks difficult to load. I think for the money, this dishwasher is a dissapointment.

Poorly Designed

MarytheCook December 3, 2012

I purchased this machine based on the Bosch name. I am very disappointed. The bottome basket's tines are not spaced consistently throughout the rows, therefore preventing thicker plates and items from fitting properly when loading. This causes problems when you are washing a variety of dishes. The same thing with the top basket, causing larger items such as coffee mugs and small bowls to not nestle properly in the basket. The silverware basket is not big enough to hold a full set of silverware and/or a variety of serving pieces. My old machine's tines where all spaced evenly throughout the machine and the silverware basket was large enough to hold a large variety of items. I would not purchase this machine again.
