I finally got my Bosch dishwasher and this machine works fantastic!! My only issue with it is that even though my top shelf is adjustable, it still doesn't allow enough room for my larger pots... also, having the top shelf up as high as it will go does not allow for my long stem glassware. BUT this machine CLEANS everything so well that I couldn't be any happier!
We've had many dishwashers over the years from several different manufacturers but none of them hold a candle to this Bosch dishwasher! It actually cleans and is very quiet. In the year that we have owned it, this dishwasher has shown absolutely no problems.
We hesitated at first because the racks are smaller... but since ours is now an "empty nest", we went for it. Especially after my wife visited a friend and "heard" or... didn't hear their Bosch dishwasher and saw how clean the dishes were. I did read some reviews on some sites that complained about the dishes not getting dry but if you use Auto Wash on Sanitize and the recommended dish-washing detergent (Finish Quantum) and Jet Dry, the dishes come out sparkling and dry. As for how quiet this machine is? How coffee maker makes more noise.
Our Bosch Ascenta dishwasher with Silence Plus is so quiet, we hardly know that it's running. Our kitchen is centrally located in an open-plan house, so quiet operation is essential. We can run it at any time of the day, no matter what we are doing, even watching TV or listening to music. In fact, I find that I want to run it just to hear the sound of a gently running stream, which is how I would describe the sound. It's almost like having a relaxing white noise machine in my kitchen. We are able to load many kinds of pots, pans, and dishes in the Ascenta, and they come out clean and sanitized. The cycle display showing the minutes left is also a useful feature. I bought this model because Consumer Reports listed it as a "Best Buy", and I couldn't agree more. Thanks for a fabulous dishwasher.
This is the quietest dishwasher been around. Our kitchen area has a window into the living room and with our previous diswasher we couldn't hear the TV. Now, you can't even tell the dishwasher is running. The dishes come out clean and spotless. Great investment.
Quiet and VERY good at cleaning! Surprisingly, even when stacking things seemingly too close together, everything gets really clean. We are so happy we bought this appliance. The only con is that loading the washer most efficiently takes some practice.
Seems to do a great job washing all sorts of soiled dishes. Love the silverware holder and the fact that you can close the top of the holder to keep the silverware in place. It seems to hold more dishes than our last model; however, we are still learning how to load the dishes for better wash. Love the recessed handle. Also like the stemware feature for delicate crystal.
Very quiet and cleans well, but I'm not very happy with its configuration. The tines are too close together, making it difficult to put in things like pie pans. Anything this deep needs to lean and therefore taking up valuable space. The front has two differently spaced set of tines, but the wider spaced ones are virtually useless next to the tighter spaced ones. I only replaced the dishwasher because I was doing a kitchen remodel and my low-dollar Frigidaire was 8 years old. It still worked perfectly and I never used anything except the short wash cycle. I was able to load a lot more dishes in my old one. I would love to return the dishwasher.
We've had this dishwasher for 6 weeks and are now exchanging it for another model. It gets top marks for quiet and washing but it just didn't seem to fit our dishes very well. The racks are set up for standard place-settings but other items such as baking sheets, cooling racks and cutting boards didn't fit well at all. Our cups & smaller dishes were difficult to organize on the top rack. Although the silverware caddy has slots it seemed to leave everything in a jumble. We ended up using the caddy from our old dishwasher instead. The door was tricky - you have to open it all the way or else it slams shut by itself. The bottom rack was the most frustrating thing - when you pull it out it would often go off the tracks. Have to be careful to pull it straight to keep in the tracks. The display timer is a nice feature to see how much time is left.
I use my dishwasher twice daily. I teach cooking classes from my home and provide breakfasts and lunches occasional when I rent out my meeting room in our home. This dishwasher is quiet and does wash very well. My complaint is the size of the racks. I have had many dishwashers and the Bosch designers tried to be too clever in its rack design. I can't seem to get all my dishes in and end up cleaning a lot of my dishes by hand. I was looking forward to owning a Bosch but will be leaving it behind when we move in the spring and purchasing another brand.
