This is an early review as I've only owned my Bosch 300 Scoop Handle dishwasher for eight days. I'll gladly update after some time passes. First up, READ THE MANUAL!!! It has information that is very important to your dishwasher. Especially the section on setting personal selections for cycles and options. That is a game changer that personalizes every load being run. I did my research for right at a year when I started having issues with my former two year old dishwasher. I could not make my mind up between three models, all different brands. After asking a variety of coworkers what brand they have and what they recommend, I jumped on the Bosch wagon. In the last eight days, I've experienced dishwashing at its best. And I hope that continues for years to come. The model is amazingly quiet! I'm blown away. Having moved frequently in life, I've owned some doozies of models from least expensive to top of the line. The noise factor on all of my other machines was insane -- until I had my Bosch installed. Virtually silent! Almost eerie. My past dishwashers made tons of clicking noises, wash level switches, stop and starts from washing to draining and in between, but this model Bosch is smooth as butter when running. At least, from what I can hear, which is difficult to pick up on unless I place my ear against the unit. Thank goodness for the InfoLight, which displays a red light on the floor to indicate the unit is running. Otherwise I'd never know when it's taking care of the dirty work. A super feature! As for the third rack, it wasn't a high priority when purchasing. I could have gone either way with that -- or so I thought. Now that I've gotten used to it and how handy all those little items I don't have to stack any longer and risk not cleaning properly, I could not live without this rack! In my research and opinion, Bosch has done the best job in third rack placement. The angled third rack creates a user friendly space for the middle (or "top" rack). It allows tall items to be loaded to the sides and smaller toward the center on the middle rack. A lot of competitors third racking system is simply a flat rack, leaving no room for versatility. Good job, Bosch! (Bosch also features three different styles of third racking so make sure to research all three for what fits you best.) The bottom rack I have yet to fully master. Tho I like the configuration and options supplied, I'm still trying to figure out exactly how to fit my plates and cookware in the bottom. It will come soon enough, keeping in mind it's only been eight days, but so far it's been a "light challenge!" Of course that varies person to person and depending on what you place in the bottom rack. Again, I love the rack's options and placement options. (A "light challenge" never hurt anyone!) I have very soft water and prefer to change my detergent amounts according to the load soils and size, so I use liquid detergent. I was hesitant prior to purchase if I could use liquid and/or gels, as everything I read diverted detergent use to pods or packs. Those are great for heavy soils and loads, but I don't always use a full amount of detergent. Thankfully, liquid detergent works great and washes from the cup each load. My previous dishwasher would never rinse the detergent cup and I would have to rewash a ton of loads. (Annoying!) I also love the placement of the detergent cup in the Bosch. Drying agent -- yes I use on a medium level dispense and this is the easiest dishwasher to fill with agent I've EVER owned! Amazingly easy. After eight days of use, I've yet to have to rinse the filter in the bottom of the unit. I've checked it a couple of times but not had to clean it. There's also one more feature I absolutely love on this dishwasher -- the ease of the door closing and locking. Wow! A simple touch to close and lock vs. struggling with pushing in fear of breaking a locking mechanism. And finally, the drying system. That was my biggest hangup with a Bosch purchase. But to my surprise, my nerves were quickly calmed when I ran my first load and saw every piece dry and clean! Impressive! And the ability to place plastics all over the interior frees up loading conundrums. That's one loading issue that quickly flew to the wayside! No more melted or warped pieces. Awesome! The range of cycles and options is plenty for me. I'm an avid cook at home and during the holidays a dishwasher runs nonstop in our home. As a matter of fact, this machine probably has cycles I'll never use but are always good for having just in case. It's just right in number of options and cycles, in my opinion and needs. My friends & coworkers were right -- I've fallen in love with this model Bosch in record time! Now the test of longevity and reliability lies ahead. Thank you, Bosch, for a quality and sound product to have in my home! Keep up the great work.
We purchased this dishwasher about 1.5 months ago after researching a variety of different brands and models. This dishwasher is extremely quiet and has the most features we desired for the price. In fact, it's so quiet, we have to check to see if the glowing signal light is on and it really is running! Love the 3rd/top rack for utensils and other items which enables us to remove the utensil basket for more room on the lowest rack for larger items. It's also nice that there is an option for doing small loads since it periodically takes us awhile to fill the dishwasher for a full load. Another nice feature is having the control buttons hidden from visiting tiny toddler fingers. This dishwasher was a wise purchase for us and our somewhat persnickety requirements. We Love It!
I bought this dishwasher a month ago and I'm so happy with it. I wouldn't even know it was in wash cycle if I didn't see the glowing red light on. My dishes are squeaky clean, and it provides great energy efficiency for different wash cycles. I'm so glad I decided to go with stainless steel interior .. definitely worth it. The top tray can be raised or lowered, depending on height required (awesome!), and there's also an upper tray for utensils. This is one of my best home investments. Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tell you what, the reviews you read about it being quiet are more than true. If it weren't for the red light I wouldn't even know it was running. I've never had a dishwasher so some of the functions blow my mind. And dang if those dishes aren't clean! I really like that the controls are on the inside. It definitely streamlines the look. I've always been a Samsung fan, but I went outside my comfort zone due to a couple of recommendations and I am more than pleased that I did. *I'd like to mention that I'm one of the research people. Consumer reports, YouTube videos, and multiple website reviews. One of the other major bonuses is the number of loading options you have. there is the top rack for spatulas and such. The bottom rack is adjustable. And both the bottom and middle rack have little flip up and down things (like the ones you put mugs over or plates lined up in). So no matter what, nearly anything fits. I should also mention that I just had a gut kitchen renovation so I wanted to invest in the best item I could and I think I did a pretty good job. So, I hope this review has been helpful and if you get this product I hope you enjoy this machine as much as I do.
We bought this item back before Christmas. We had, what I felt, was perfectly fine dishwasher, my wife wanted an upgrade. We look at several and every website and store left us feeling that Bosch was top of the line. The dishwasher is MORE than an upgrade. It holds almost twice the amount of dishes as our previous one and makes 1/8 of the noise. It has yet to leave us we a dirty or greasy dish and there is no prewashing. It meets and exceeds all expectations we had. My wife and I are overly pleased.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a Bosch Dishwasher a month ago. My previous dishwasher was a Maytag so when I went to replace it that's what I was shopping for. The salesman directed me to the BOSCH dishwasher and pointed out all the features. I was reluctant to purchase it because I had never heard of BOSCH put decided to purchase it anyway. BEST decision ever! It is so quite that you can barley hear it run even when standing in front of it! My dishes come out cleaner and drier than ever! It has many features! I love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted a Bosch dishwasher. Now I have one and it is the absolute best. I've always had cheaper dishwashers but decided to spend more and get what I wanted. It does a great job cleaning and drying dishes. The glassware has never looked more shiny and clean.it is so quiet when it's running, you done even know it's on. I'm a completely satisfied with my Bosch dishwasher.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 65 and have had many dishwashers. Without a doubt, this Bosch dishwasher is the best quality ever. It's so quiet, without the red light, I wouldn't know it was running...Brilliant! The removalble parts for cleaning...again, Brilliant! The short How-to videos are A+ and to the point. I'll never buy another brand of dishwasher in the future! Well worth it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SHSM63W52N/11 is well designed, very quiet, and high quality. I had a problem with an error in the installation guide (further down in this review) but I am happy with my purchase. I changed out my older SMU4052UC/14 which must have been approximately 20 years old. Unfortunately the new dishwasher doesn't clean as well when dishes and glasses are directly loaded without a preliminary rinse/brush, and takes a bit longer, but is far quieter and probably uses less energy. The third silverware drawer is a space saver if you remove the basket, and organizing utensils when loading speeds up unloading because no sorting required. BTW, it would be nice to have a half-size basket. My problem with the installation guide is step 12 pictures show the mounting brackets in an odd orientation. So I checked the online installation guide. There are two installation guides: 9001335818_A and 9001349550_A, mostly identical except for a State of California Proposition 65 Warning on the second and slightly different pictures for step 12 that show the mounting brackets in opposite orientation. I suspect the first guide shows them correctly.
