Bosch Universal Plus with Stainless Steel Bowl - Black

It's pricey but way better than my kitchen aids. Cuts prep time in half and way less mess. Warranty seems good, hopefully I won't have to use it. German made with lots of great reviews. If your a baker, pastry chef, home baker, cookie maker etc stop struggling with your old fashion kitchen aids (even artisan, 5ct, handled, 6 qt, whatever ) and buy this game changer. My 20 quart doesn't incorporate everything well enough so this is the one. Go with the stainless steel bowl also, you won't be disappointed.

I wanted to use this mixer a few times before I reviewed it. So far so good. I had the other stand mixer, the brand that my grandma had and could not make a decent loaf of bread in it. I had my eye on this mixer and a Swedish one. I had decided on the Swedish one when the Bosch showed up with a stainless steel bowl replacing their plastic one! That was the whole reason for my hesitation to begin with...I hate plastics! So far I have used it for several recipes, including 6 loaves of bread. I'm pretty pleased. The dough does still climb the hook a bit, but not nearly as bad as my old mixer. On the old mixer the dough would engulf the entire mixer if I didn't stand there constantly pulling it down. I am able to obtain window pane stage with my bread dough too. I couldn't do that with the other one. It is loud...but so is the other one. I wish someone would design a cover for it. LOL I might take on that challenge myself. The mixer does well with heavy large batches of cookies, large batches of bread dough, and I have mixed up several quarts of brown sugar (molasses and sugar), not an easy thing to thoroughly mix. So I am very pleased. I love how easy it is to add ingredients to the bowl. I appreciate the cover too. Flour doesn't spray out, and when not in use, dust doesn't get in. I like how I can turn it on and walk away too. Bosch has a great reputation with German engineering. I expect this mixer to last a very long time.

Love this mixer! Quiet and very efficient. Also doesn't take up so much cabinet space.

Better at handling larger batches of dough than my kitchen.

The dough hook is great for kneading my Sourdough. Wire whips also are included. Had to buy the cookie and cake paddles separately. Seems like those should have been included for the price of this mixer. Also wish there was a handle on the bowl, It's awkward to empty and requires both hands to tip it.

It's ok not worth the price

My wife was very thrilled with this, it's a great product, only setback is that it is hard to clean.
