My dog has extremely long and usually thick. This brush went right thru her fur with no problems.The release button is so good, no more trying to get the fur out of the brush. I would definitely buy another if I had to.

Great brush
I use it on my small dog and cats. It leaves their fur soft and I love how I don't have to pull the hair out of the bristles. Awesome easy cleaning. My animals actually like getting brushed with this.

Good to brush Great Pyr, hair off brush not good
The brush works well on my Great Pyrenees. My only gripe is removing the hair from the brush. The spring is not strong enough to fully retract the bristles to remove the hair off the brush. I have to pull half the hair off the bristles then the spring will snap and fully retract the bristles. I'm also worried about the rubber grip handle becoming unglued from the inner base plastic. It hasn't slipped off yet, but this has been a problem with other brands.

Probably a great brush and easy clean up method. However, my mutt despises this brush and I don't know why.
