Lobster, like pasta, doesn't really have a taste. It's all in the sauce, plus the added thrill of eating something expensive. So here's my recipe for a delicious sauce for this product: mix equal quantities of unsalted butter, Sangria wine, low-sodium soy sauce, and a sprinkling of pepper, garlic, and onion. Bring to a boil in a frying pan, then add the lobster. Sautee for a couple of minutes, drain, and enjoy.
I haven't had langostinos since I was a kid in the 70s. My dad would bring home a big bag full and they were about the only seafood I liked aside from clams. When I saw these in the store I had to give them a try and I was quite impressed. If you like to incorporate lobster in your recipies but don't care for the mess , these are for you. I coupled the bag of these with 2 boxes of angelhair parmesean pasta roni and the results were outstanding. Great product at a much fairer price than you'll pay for actual lobster.
Made a lobster casserole recipe for a friend who loves lobster. I do not like seafood but I knew she loved it and thought she would like the recipe I found. She loved it! So am basing this review on her. She thought it was delicious! This was a lot cheaper than trying to buy a lobster and much more convenient also. All ready to go and just tossed in the casserole.
I’ve bought lobster langostino from HT multiple times but got tired of having to scrape the black stuff out of every single piece. I decided to try this brand and was pleasantly surprised that the “stuff” was removed on all pieces, except 2. Already appetizing knowing that detail was not overlooked. While it’s not real lobster, it’s actually very tasty and softer than lobster meat. Enjoy!
My 10 year old daughter is obsessed with lobster rolls somehow and she's been pleased so far with my version! I think it's definitely worth the money.
Really impressed with the quality here. The langostino is tender, sweet, and doesn’t have the aftertaste of Maine lobster. It cooks quickly and works great in pasta, rolls, or even on its own. Super convenient to have on hand without sacrificing flavor. I’ll be purchasing again. Made AWESOME langostino nachos!
I got this because it was on sale and I wanted to try them. They are okay, but only okay, and the price - when it's not on sale - is a bit prohibitive for "only okay". I wound up using them as an add-to to my pasta, and not the main ingredient as I expected.
I don't leave reviews, so let this one sink in. First thing was the smell while thawing them — like old dish water mixed with plastic perfume. I assumed it was just "frozen funk" and pushed through to make a lobster roll. After tasting it, there was absolutely zero flavor. I'm not sure if i got a bad batch or if this is normal, but I've had tap water with more flavor than this. It had me wishing the plastic smell absorbed into the flavor just so i had something to taste.
this product is precooked and then glazed with 50% water so they look like big plump lobster tails and they're just a mushy mess after they're prepared.
Langostino Shrimp do not need to be cut up in pieces. This 8 ounce package, $12 of shrimp were very tough, even though this type of shrimp usually has more texture. These were extremely tough. I have never seen Langostino shrimp cut up? Usually the tails are whole after all it does not take much to get them out of their shell. Only good thing I can say is that they were hard frozen… My delivery girl made sure she got them to me and called my attention to them immediately. Had, I know these were gonna be all chopped up. I would’ve just ordered the lobster tails for just a few dollars more. In the United States, but it’s a very. There was virtually no flavor to them, got them to put with pasta for my 70th birthday. Took a great deal of seasoning to make them taste like anything.
