This amp is a great deal for the price, but make sure to pair it with high-quality speakers to handle its power. I have two 12-inch Boss 2300 watt DVC speakers, and the amp is extremely loud, causing them to pop. I plan to upgrade to a 6000 watt 15-inch speaker to match the amp's output.
My partner and I installed the system and found that the amp delivers more power than expected. It handles our two 12s effortlessly, prompting us to consider upgrading to two 15s. Overall, we are very satisfied with the product given its price.
I appreciate the convenience of all connections on one side. The amp's power impresses me as it effortlessly drives my subs to the max without overheating. This Boss amplifier is the best they've released so far, and I've been a fan since the 90s.
I used the amp to power 2 10-inch 1100w subs and 2 800w 6x9s and 2 400w 6.5s. They sound great, but the subs went into protect mode when I turned up the gain. I keep it low for good bass. It overheats occasionally, but it's not a big issue for me.
The subwoofer is not 4000w as advertised, but it is actually 1600w, which is sufficient for my needs. It greatly enhances the sound quality of my 2 kicker vr 12s. Although the bass knob is not working, I am still pleased with the overall performance.
I found this amp to be a good value for the price. I have not had the chance to fully test its performance. I set it up for a bench test and was pleased with the sound quality. It is a suitable budget option for a basic system without needing strong bass output.
I experienced issues with the amp going into protection mode every other day, despite being pleased with its performance when it worked. The installer suggested the issue might be with the wire set I ordered. Overall, I found the amp to be well-built.
I run two MTX 12s, so this amp may be better for two 8-inch subs or one 10-inch sub. It overheated and went into safety mode after 15 minutes. The power output is closer to 400 RMS watts.
The amp I bought was used and missing some parts, but I had spare parts to fix it. It was cheap, so I'm not too upset. It works fine, so I don't need a refund.
The review is disappointed because the amp received is not the 5000 watt model as described in the ad. The reviewer warns others to read the full description before purchasing. They are seeking recommendations for an amp that would pair well with a 2200 watt sub, as they believe their current 500.1 fosgate prime amp may not be sufficient.
