Installed this unit in my 2005 Honda Element with all the necessary wiring harnesses/adapters. It's not a high-end deck, but it's great for the price. The Apple CarPlay feature works well and there are plenty of inputs/outputs, including a good camera. The frame around it is a bit small, leaving a gap in the double din space, but it's not a big issue. Sound quality is decent, and while the interface may not look the best, it functions well. Apple CarPlay interface is good, and it reads USB and SD cards up to 32GB. Bluetooth integration is solid, and it has two USB ports for fast phone charging. No major complaints, just wish it came with a remote.

radio works great, but the andriod auto/apple carply doesn't work with newer phones

After thorough research, I bought this model for my 2007 Jeep JK with a standard sound system. Installation was straightforward, but I had to figure out the non-standard wire colors in my Jeep. Additional items needed for installation were a wiring harness, faceplate adapter kit, and Radio Replacement Adapter CANBUS. Once connected, Bluetooth and CarPlay worked seamlessly. Adjusting input levels was necessary, but sound quality was satisfactory. The lack of a knob took some getting used to, but the hard volume buttons and mute function were convenient. The screen was prone to washing out in bright sunlight, and the microphone quality was decent. I replaced a Cigarette A/C outlet with a USB outlet for CarPlay, which worked well. Overall, spending under $300 on the setup left me satisfied with the results, despite not using the supplied camera or having steering wheel controls.

I found everything to be functioning well, but I wish the screen was larger than the 6.2" it currently is. The main radio page only displays the current station, not the saved or favorite stations. It would be more convenient if all stations were integrated into the main radio page.

Ordered two units by mistake. First one didn't work with Android Auto or Carplay, USB port was dead. Second one installed, Carplay works but Samsung S21 Ultra shows unsupported USB, so Android Auto still doesn't work. Disappointed with junk brand, should have bought name brand head unit.

In my experience with the Boss product, I found live wires in unexpected places, such as the speaker positive wires remaining live even after turning off the internal amp. The 12v triggers did not function correctly, leading me to use a speaker wire as an external amp trigger. The antenna and dedicated trigger wire did not work. The screen is not bright enough for sunlight use. While Apple CarPlay works, the device occasionally freezes, requiring the car to be turned off to resolve the issue.
