Knobs and buttons. I love it. The EQ is lacking.... Plenty of presets. Large display. Phone. BT control. All I need. All I want. Awesome value. You do need a separate adaptor (specific to your vehicle). But that'll make the unit, plug and play. Go to: crutchfield.com to cross-ref any vehicle, for lists of all compatible units (including instruction PDF diagrams and correct adaptors). Zero guess work. You're welcome.
I'll start with what I don't like. The only thing I don't like is the red and blue color options are hard to see/read info during the day. There's like six different color options though, including white, so that's okay. The remote seems to have a little bit of lag sometimes, could be the cold, other than that it works fine, may just need to press buttons harder. Can't use steering wheel controls with this head unit, which isn't a big deal for me. I installed it myself and it was really easy. All colors match the colors of the pigtail coming from my car, which is specific to my car model. Connected my phone via Bluetooth one time now it does it automatically, in a matter of seconds, after I turn my car on. Phone call microphone and quality works fine. I have Sony aftermarket door speakers and this head unit works great with them. I can't find anything else wrong with it, I've only had it for a few days though. I have a 2017 Nissan versa by the way. Came with it's own installation kit, which I did not need, but I appreciated them trying. I wasn't expecting much for 60-70 bucks but I'm extremely satisfied and a little bit impressed. I would buy this again for another vehicle or recommend it definitely. Sorry I only have a picture of the final product.
The radio is lightweight and easy to use with great colors. I am very satisfied with it. The sound quality and EQ options are good on the radio, which is the second one I've purchased. However, the Bluetooth audio for phone calls is not great as callers cannot hear you well.
This product delivers on its promises with good audio quality and reliable Bluetooth connectivity. I have yet to test the aux feature, but I expect it to work well. The price is reasonable for a trusted brand, and overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.
The installation was straightforward and the head-unit has all the necessary features. I hesitated to review it to confirm if it would be reliable, but unfortunately, it started malfunctioning after a few months. The volume knob is not functioning properly, causing it to skip around. I now have to rely on the remote control for adjustments. Despite this issue, the head-unit is satisfactory overall.
I recently got this radio on a used car I bought. It's a good choice if you can't afford a pricier brand. Some downsides: no CD player, display doesn't auto-dim, clock visibility is limited. Easy Bluetooth connection to my phone. It retains presets and time. Adjusting bass and treble manually requires turning off EQ first.
At 43, it had been a while since purchasing a new stereo. I came across Boss, a new brand, and decided to try it out from Crutchfield. Unfortunately, the stereo's sound quality is terrible, stuck in mono despite a mono/stereo option. I recommend sticking with bigger, more reputable brands for better quality sound.
The clock resets to 12:00 AM each time I start the car. I have to set it again. Preset channels stay saved, but I have to reset random play and clock. AM stations have static and fade while driving, but FM stations are fine. My android paired easily. However, I decided to return this radio and bought a more expensive JVC radio instead.
I received a second-hand stereo system with no manual or receipt, making it impossible to get tech support from the manufacturer. The display is too dim to read during the day, and there are no seek or scan features, so channels must be selected manually. The clock is inconvenient, requiring a button press to view, and the numbers are as dim as the channel displays. Overall, it's a poor quality product that I plan to replace with a factory radio. I rate it one star, as zero stars isn't an option.
In my hobby of rebuilding project SUVs, I upgrade the factory radios with modern ones for a better appeal. I pay attention to details and ensure all connections are soldered and heatshrunk. I have faced disappointment with Boss products three times due to incompatible wiring harnesses, leading to wasted time. I have found more success with no-brand units from Walmart.
